    Failed WILD

I had it all: perfect WBTB, vibrations coming, but the phone disturbed it once, then the dogs barking interrupted the second time. Then the third attempt, I thought I heard the phone again, grrrrr.

I did have a non-lucid about Mike again. Someone put a thermometer in my mouth, and then I saw Mike. He had given me a little bottle with a potion inside. I couldn't talk, because I was waiting for the temp to read on the thermometer, but I was pointing out to Mike some word on the label on the bottle. It was something that stood out, but I forgot what it said. I think I was trying to use hand gestures to accuse him of trying to give me a love potion lol. Anyway, the first temp reading was 155 degrees, then the second time was 75 degrees. Maybe I was a vampire Wish I had become lucid, I could have given ol' Mike a little nibble

Yay....I'm glad I'm not the only one to fail a WILD today! BTW hows your sleeping pattern? Mine is a bit jacked up. I've been waking up later in the day, and I think that may be the cause.

I admit I stayed up too late. Normally I go to bed at midnight if I'm going to do a 7am WBTB to get Chris off to school. Then I let myself sleep in as long as it takes to have an LD, whether it's WILD, DEILD, or DILD or some combination. Usually once I hit 11am if I haven't LDed by then, I just scrap it for the day. I notice I am less likely to have luck if I stay up past midnight. But this morning I was just interrupted alot, otherwise I think I might have had the rare LD on less sleep. I dunno, it seems kinda random alot, but there are some patterns I've noticed.

As far as you waking up later in the day, are you also staying up later? Because ordinarily I would say sleeping in helps with LDs.

Yeah....stayed up till about 5 last night reading a book. Set my alarm for 9:30....woke up naturally at 8:30...DJ'd looked up fantasy football...red some more.....probably stayed up too long, but tried it anyway. Woke up again, and went back to sleep....no success, but better dream.

I'm really honestly thinking the key to WILD's are consistent sleeping patterns...which could explain some people's extreme randomness with them.

I admit that although I'm never 100% sure when I'm gonna have a lucid dream, I do have them more frequently when I have a consistent sleep pattern.
