    Flies in the Bedroom

In this dream, I was in my bedroom at my father's house. My room is about 15x15 feet with cherry hardwood, beige walls, and dark wooden baseboards and trim. On the wall facing the outside of the house was a larger window with white trim. If you looked outside, you would see the backyard and a man-made lake. The white plastic blinds of the window were shut in the dream, so I couldn't see what was outside, but the room was almost exactly like it was in real life. Except for one thing - it was connected directly to an unknown room by a sliding wooden door.

This door, at the onset of the dream, was almost fully closed. The room on the other side wasn't emanating any light (unlike my bedroom, which was lit dimly, like in most dreams), so I couldn't see anything past the door. I was a few feet away from the door at first, and then I walked closer, looking into the darkness. Then I heard a strange, high-pitched buzzing noise. A fly buzzed out of the opening and landed on my dresser, the only piece of furniture on that side of the room - it was made of horizontal, black wood, and was slightly longer than the actual thing, which was five feet across. It landed upside-down and didn't move. I walked towards the dresser, saying, "ew", and looked at it. I crouched down to get a better look, and realized that it was dead.

I stood up and saw two more flies buzzing above my head, with no idea where they came from. But after a few moments, they flew away, into the dark room. The door was more open than it was before, almost halfway.

This dream didn't have a creepy or disturbing feel to it, despite the content.
