It was the middle of the day, and I knew it was near summer temperatures outside. I was standing on a boat. It was like one of those toy boats with the single mast (this one was made of thick, rigid iron) right in the middle of the deck, except more realistic and, obviously, larger. There were a few other people on it too, but I can't recall what they looked like. The deck was light wood, and the side of the boat was navy blue with a white stripe going horizontally around the top. I'm not sure how I knew that without actually getting off and looking at the boat, but that sometimes just happens.

We were out on the water, coming up to a large mountain. On the left and right sides of the boat, a few feet each way, were walls that looked like they were made of light grey tennis court net. We could see through them and I saw that there was a sea going out, ending at the horizon. The sun shone, but there wasn't a glare and I wasn't squinting as I looked right at it.

The boat came to the edge of the mountain and I walked off; the deck was perfectly level with the mountain, and there was no rails. I simply walked off as if it were another section of the boat. This place on the mountain was a flat part with a pale brown rock-climbing like arc over it, like a cave. It was dark inside, but as I walked further inside, there was light coming down from a huge hole in the rock. It was lit like the inside of a house. The floor was rock and there was a small lagoon inside, connecting with the water outside the "cave".

The cave was only twenty feet deep or so, the whole thing well-lit. At the back, past where the small lagoon ended, there was a square framework made of white metal pipes. There were three large cube frameworks connected to each other. In each cube, there was a pair of black aerobics steps, and then there was a platform with waterskis. As I looked at this framework, all three pairs of skis were white with long black lightning bolts on them. I went to the one to the far left and walked up, and the skis were now yellow. They were made of what looked like foam as well, now. It was a waterski-shaped piece of yellow foam with two black half-circles near the end, where my feet were supposed to go. How I was supposed to keep my foot on the ski as I was moving was beyond me.

I got in, and I heard my sister (who suddenly happened to appear in the cube beside me) say, "I don't want footpieces. Can I just use the skis?"

I guess she didn't want the black parts. Who would be able keep their feet on the ski without them, though? Not like they were much use to begin with, anyways, because there weren't any straps or anything.

Outside the cave, there was now a beach with a regular floating dock and a boat. This boat wasn't ours, but a new one. It was one of those normal speedboats, which I presumed to be the thing that would be pulling us. But none of the skis were connected to the boat, and how were we supposed to get from standing on the platform to the open water, a good twenty feet out? I looked down and put my feet into the proper position on the skis, and held my hands out, holding an invisible towrope. The skis suddenly accelerated and I tried to keep my balance. This part was very realistic, other than the fact that the skis, right now, were moving on land and there wasn't anything visible pulling them. I got to the water, and noticed that the other two pairs of skis were behind me, underneath two strangers. I skied for a few moments, randomly accelerating then decelerating. Then the dream ended.

Maybe you could just get pulled without the skis!

It's good that you are able to start LDing a bit better, now! Glad you're posting again! I like the new header pics (whatever they're called), BTW!

      Thanks!
I'm not sure whether I like the header pictures enough to keep them like this. I'll probably change them again, but I'm not sure what to.
