    1. MDP #1 - The Pentagon - The Data

      This continuous lucid dream story will revolve around the aftermath of the films Iron Man 2, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk, which will not culminate in the Avengers team but something different. Many of the lines are rehearsed in daydreams so the actual dreams should play out relatively well. I don't know much about the Marvel universe (I've only seen the movies) and dreams are often unpredictable, so the story will probably have errors and mishaps, but I'll do my best. This is "part 2" of hopefully many more dreams.

      Plot Intro:
      - I'm a qualified computer sciences and biochem scientist who is good at hacking computers.
      - I moved to New York a few days prior to the incident with Emil Blonsky in Harlem, then I saw the news flashes about it and statements from General Ross and figured something just didn't sit right.
      - I hacked into the mainframe of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database and got intel on Bruce Banner, including files of the preliminary "accident", and Ross's amendment-violating treatment of him.
      - Because of sheer luck, I found a suitable cure for Bruce's gamma poisoning and managed to successfully test it on myself after a lot of headache-inducing equipment and resource scavenging. Now I needed to find Bruce before S.H.I.E.L.D. and Ross did.

      As you might be able to tell, you'll be seeing more of Bruce Banner than any other character. He is currently played by Edward Norton. I've also noticed that in the majority of my lucids, I'm invulnerable and have super strength, hence the reason I decided to make myself a guinea pig for this "cure". It fits my preexisting lucid dream profile and will make things easier. I will also run into Eric Lensherr, played by Michael Fassbender, who will also side with me and perhaps instigate some cool dream fights of his own. Maybe he will cause problems.
      My Notes:
      The majority of this dream had high-level lucidity, good control, and really, really good recall. I'm satisfied with most of it.

      I was at the mall. Actually, this was a real mall, and one in my city that I just went to the day before. In real life, it has two floors chocked full of shops, a big opening in the middle so you could look across the mall and see other stores. It also has a tall glass ceiling. But in the dream, it had three levels, with ceilings that were slightly lower than normal, and the lighting had an almost "warm" tone to it. There were lots of people walking around.

      I became lucid within moments. I did the nose-plug RC which failed, but I was positive that I was dreaming, so I counted my fingers. I don't just look at my fingers and count them, though, because I might skip a number or a finger. So, I bent each finger as I went along. One, two, three, four, five.

      Hm. That's not right.

      I looked up, shook my hand out, and looked at it again. I didn't realize anything strange about it until I counted again: one, two, three, four, five, and six! I bent each finger until I got to the last one, which didn't bend until I willed, or expected, it to. It felt strange, as if I really did have an extra digit. "Yes, I thought I might be dreaming!" I exclaimed, rubbing my hands and looking around. I looked up at the glass ceiling of the mall and realized that it was cloudy, and fairly dark outside, as if the sun was about to set. "Okay, first thing's first. Teleporting."

      I turned around and was facing a jewelery store. This store was open and had no doors; it was just a walk-in one. It had deep purple walls and a beveled, golden sign at the back of the store (it was only about twenty feet deep) that said something like "Ben Moss" in italics. Inside, there was the usual line-up of rectangular glass display counters, which I didn't really take the time to observe. There were no lights, but the the store was well-lit. I saw one man on the right-hand side; he was older, grey hair, and was wearing a black suit with a pale peach tie. It was rather ugly. His small, rectangular-shaped glasses with gray frames suited the tie well - I guess I could say that both of them were ugly!

      I had to summon a door. Teleporting from the inside of a building to the outside of one is an easy task, so I just turned away from the store, and turned around. I forgot to visualize there just being a door and no more store, but that didn't really stop a door from being summoned - the store was still there, but on the left wall, there was a basic wooden door like you'd find in a house. I opened it, visualizing strongly - I wanted to be directly outside the pentagon, a large, uh, military base, I believe. The building would be gray, and it would be relatively dark outside. There would be a couple military guards in their camouflage-style outfits, standing up on a ledge with rifle guns, and a fence with barbed wire encircling the area. There would be one main door, a relatively well-hidden one, behind a fenced gate.

      This worked out well - I opened the door and walked right into the location I had visualized; I was about fifteen feet away from the front gate, and I could see the pentagon-shaped building behind it. On either side of the front gate was a taller, silver-colored metal fence with a cylindrical ring of barbed wire circling along the top. It was a good setup, albeit it was lighter outside than I'd hoped, and there were only two or three guards. I looked at the sky and put my finger on a moon that I had summoned, dragging it further up into the sky, and rubbing it out with the side of my right hand, lowering the opacity (brightness) of it, like I'd do with an eraser in Photoshop. The light level lowered itself in a choppy fashion instead of smoothly, but regardless of the process, it was now darker. I couldn't see any stars in the sky; it was just a very dark, pale blue that faded into a lighter, more turquoise blue at the horizon - it was actually quite pretty.

      I walked forward, not really expecting anything in particular to happen. But, what did happen was what I'd expected - a guard up on the right-hand size of the tall ledge pointed his gun at me. I had to squint slightly to create more details of the person, as it was fairly dark and I could only essentially see his silhouette and the shine of his rifle.

      "Freeze!"

      I stopped and slowly put my hands up to my head. At this point, I was slightly afraid of losing my lucidity because right here was when I'd step into character and start the first part of the dream plot story. I didn't think much of it, though. I just said to myself, "I am dreaming, do not forget I am dreaming". I intended for that to be said outside of the story, so the DC guard wouldn't react to it. And he didn't react, which kept the story from breaking.

      "Hands where I can see them!"

      I lifted my hands up into the air, and got down on my knees. I could hear a few people running towards me, and I also heard the jingling of ammunition and guns. I could smell toast, for some reason. I looked to the side and saw two men coming at me with handcuffs. One of them was older than the other; I'd estimate their ages to be forty and probably late-twenties. As soon as the younger man reached out, with the larger-than-normal handcuffs dangling from one of his hands, I took the opportunity to swing out and land an uppercut against his chest, sending him flying back. I could feel the momentum in my hand as I did this, which reminded me of a wrecking ball; the actual contact was more like punching a pillow that was filled with fluff. The guy probably went a good ten feet or so, right past the older man, who looked behind himself and then back at me. I didn't look to see where the person landed or if he just disappeared into the dream, because I was looking at the remaining man.

      I casually expected the man to pull out a walkie-talkie or some other form of transmission device. He reached his hand around to his back and pulled out a device that looked like a Cobra MicroTalk MT200, except without the large antennae (it only had a small, short one).

      "Tony, we need you", he said.

      I hadn't expected the man, who wasn't familiar at all, to presumably talk to Tony Stark. I wondered if I was looking at my dream's rendition of Colonel James Rhodes, which wasn't exactly part of the plot. But I decided to use this to my advantage.

      "Do you realize what project you're truly working for?" ..."Project" wasn't the right word, but I didn't realize that in the dream.

      "What do you mean?" he said, now starting to sound a bit like Rhodes, even if he didn't look like him.

      "I know who put you up to this. But do you know the whole story?"

      He pointed the gun at me, squinting and, for some reason, lowering the gun. "Who are you?"

      "I know your boss has confiscated the data from Case 20 (a name made up on the fly, because I didn't know what else to say). I know what your boss has done. I'm here to take that data to help the man's life that he's going to destroy."

      I stopped to allow for a reaction of some sort, but he just stood there, the gun suddenly pointed at me again, which had happened without a discernible transition or movement. It's strange how dreams do that. I also noticed that it was getting a bit lighter outside.

      Continuing, I added, "You have anything to say?" I attempted to coax a statement out of him using dream control.

      "I obey orders."

      Sometime during this conversation, the man assumed the appearance of Don Cheadle's portrayal of James Rhodes.

      "There's something else I should tell you," I warned. "I've found a permanent, well, not quite a cure for his condition."

      "That's great," he said, starting to come out of character, which concerned me. He should have been upset with this and hostile. But I ignored it, because I was starting to lose my lucidity. "I am dreaming," I said once. Then I continued. "The thing is, I had to duplicate the gamma infection so I could test it."

      I almost felt the dream starting to fade, so I quickly stood up and ran toward Rhodes, trying to look intimidating and throwing a strong punch towards him. He was no longer holding a gun, so he didn't shoot me. Sadly I can't remember any more details past this.


      After this, I awoke into a false awakening - I was in bed, and my eyes were shut. I saw four very small numbers behind my eyelids, exactly like the red digits of a digital alarm clock. Believing I was really awake, I tried to DEILD. Nothing happened; it just faded and I woke up for real. I was immediately pleased with the dream and how much it felt like a segment from a movie.

    2. I'll Deal With It This Time

      You know when you have a dream, and it's in a complex location? And you know exactly what it looks like, but when you try to visualize it more strongly, the details don't come? And then you find it even harder to put it into words as time passes and you forget even the pieces you do know how to describe? That's what happened when I tried to remember and write this entry. At least this dream gave me an idea for a new dream plot. I've been thinking it may be fun to do an overarching plot in my lucids.

      I was in my house, on the second floor in the hallway. In this hallway, there is a half-wall that opens up to the first floor, which you could see if you peered over it. If you look out towards the wall, there's also a big window that looks out the front of the house. Below this window is a large pair of white doors (the main entrance to the house), and basically a big room with plain beige walls and cream tile flooring. It was like this in the dream. However, I couldn't see outside the big window because while I could see the yellow light of the sun shining through, the glass appeared to have many, very small raindrops, almost like mist, on it. Like it was fogged up.

      I became lucid here. This wasn't the first time I'd become aware that I was dreaming while in this location; it's happened a few times before. The lucidity wasn't particularly high, but it was high enough to have some sense of dream control.

      "Yeah! I'm dreaming!" I exclaimed, as per always. Then I put my arms straight at my side, shoulders back slightly, and bent my wrists so that my palms were perpendicular to the ground, my fingers tilted more behind me than to the side. This was the flight position for the Iron Man suit, my main method of flight. For this, I already imagine that I'm in the suit, just to save dream time. I imagined the flight stabilizers turning on and the rockets under my feet to begin going.

      Nothing.

      "Fuck," I complained. "...Forgot to turn the button on," I finished, improvising wildly, trying not to get disconcerted because I knew it would make dream control twice as hard. I pushed a random area of the suit, not feeling a button, but only imagining the feeling of it being pushed in. The button I pushed was located on my right shoulder. I tried to take off again, with more conviction than before, and it worked - I took off. The half-wall was now gone (who knows when that happened; I hadn't been paying attention), and the window had opened like a garage door. The glass and frame was now perpendicular to the ground, at a 90o with the ceiling. Outside, I saw a huge forest with two big empty patches. Behind the forest were mountains. From where I was, these patches just looked like bare, gravelly ground and box-like, metal and smooth grey concrete factory buildings.

      I started to fly, pushing off out through the window and blasting towards these buildings. I aimed for the forest patch on my right.


      During this, I lost my lucidity. The dream skipped, and I was now on the top of one of these box-like buildings, crouched up against a smaller wall on the rooftop. Beside me was Bruce Banner, a character from the Marvel franchise, who is currently played by Edward Norton. He was looking around.

      The buildings were made of solid sheets of grey concrete, which were rather smooth (albeit still slightly rough), and they had nails in the places where the sheets met. The buildings were in very, very close proximity to one another.

      A bomb went off on top of the building to our right. Not many chunks of building or anything else came flying outwards, but I did see pieces of fabric and a relatively small spray of concrete; the pieces sprinkled down in front of us, some falling in between the two buildings, down to the ground which we couldn't see. We also couldn't see on top of the exploded building, because it was taller than the one we were crouched down on, but we knew that there were people coming to exploit some sort of fuel for powering rockets. This wasn't spoken, but it was simply intuition.

      I looked at Bruce and finally observed what he was wearing. He was wearing slightly baggier pants, and a loose, cream-colored long-sleeved shirt made of somewhat heavier fabric. There were two very thin, cylindrical gray lines, made of perhaps leather, that curved from the neck of the shirt to around the sides of the waist. The shirt looked very normal, but the details were cool.

      We both had our back against the wall; I was really crouched down, but Bruce was standing up more. He looked at me, leaning in slightly and his gaze darted around nervously. Then he turned away and peered up slightly, trying to get a better view of what was happening above the building to the left of us. I could hear small bombshells, and guns going off around, but the sounds weren't too loud.

      "We going to do this?" I asked, tired of waiting, and started to get up and run towards the building.

      He held out his hand and stopped me, my shoulder pressing against his hand rather painfully. As soon as he took his hand away, a mere moment later, the soreness went away. "No, I'll deal with it this time," he said. His eyes turned a pale shade of green and he looked back at the building. "You've done enough," he said.

      A man in a black jumpsuit, and black ski goggles with an orange accent around them, appeared. He was carrying the metal end of a grappling hook and a handgun, and he aimed the gun at Bruce. I heard a tapping sound, which I assumed upon waking that it was the gun shooting a bullet, but instead of a bullet, it shot a grappling hook. No smoke or any other effects appeared. The other hook was still in the man's hand as the gun's hook traveled, somewhat slower than it should have, towards Bruce. He held out his hand and as soon as the sharp front end of the hook contacted it, it ricocheted off and traveled fast into the adjacent building, as if the contact with Bruce's hand had caused it to accelerate. It disappeared without a trace after that. During this event, I seemed to take a third-person point of view. I watched myself and Bruce from ten or so feet away.

      The dream skipped again. I was now back in first-person POV, and I was in a passenger plane that had beige leather seats. I knew that it was a higher class plane. I could also hear that weird, quiet drone you experience while flying in an airplane. But I cannot remember anything past that.

    3. Audi R8 Convertible and Extra Fingers

      This was my first good lucid dream in months. If only I could remember more of what happened towards the end.

      It was starting to get dark. I was walking towards the kitchen in my house, which was located on the first floor. It had cherry hardwood floors, a round glass table, and four bar-stool like chairs. There was also an island, which had a granite countertop, same as the rest of the countertops along the walls. Everything looked normal, albeit the lights were off so I couldn't see as well.

      Then and there, I became lucid. "Wait a second, things don't feel right." Then, I plugged my nose and checked to see if I could breathe, which worked. "Oh my god, I'm fucking dreaming!" I exclaimed, getting excited in the usual way. I looked at my hands because I hadn't done the finger-count RC for a while. Everything looked normal; I actually counted five fingers on each hand. I looked away, and I still strongly knew that I was in a dream so I checked again. This time, I saw six fingers on my left hand, and five normal fingers on my right, with an additional pinky coming off the side of my hand. I touched it and I could feel with that finger. It was gross.

      Something strange happened next - I wasn't excited and didn't get too focused on my hands, but things around me still began to get blurrier and grow larger. The color scheme of the dream became light lime, grey, and white, and I couldn't discern ordinary objects from one another anymore. I looked at my hands, which were also slightly blurry but looked normal, and rubbed them together. "Clarity, clarity, clarity," I said until the dream returned to its "normal" appearance. But I wasn't in the kitchen anymore, I was outside on the driveway. It was daytime; the sky was pale blue.

      At this point, I didn't know what I wanted to do, so I expected a car to drive up onto the street connected to the driveway. I did this without visualizing the car itself, although I wanted an Audi of some sort. A car turned the corner and it was amazing - an Audi R8 convertible had stopped in front of me. It was light silver with the black accents on the side. I didn't expect to see someone driving the car, but my subconscious chose Edward Norton. He had a buzz cut and he was wearing a dark, pale green golf shirt. "Get in, hurry up!" he said, smiling.

      I was a bit disconcerted. As I opened the door, which required very little effort, I asked him, "why are you here?"

      He laughed, looking down at the wheel. "In that case, you drive." He got out and walked away from the car, disappearing around the corner.

      I hopped over to the driver's side and started to drive. I pushed down on the gas pedal as hard as I could. The car accelerated to perhaps 30 km/h, but that wasn't fast enough even though I was slamming down on the gas. Instead of simply expecting it to go faster, I rammed my foot onto the pedal harder, and the car eventually sped up. It reached a top speed of about 120 km/h, which felt amazing.

      "Woohoo!" I exclaimed, once again becoming excited. I could feel myself being pushed back into my seat, as well as the wind around me.

    4. Snowballing Rorshach and Flying

      Yay, completed the TOTM!
      It was pretty dark outside. I'm guessing it was about midnight, but it wasn't too dark because of illumination from street lights. I was walking down a sidewalk in some random suburban neighborhood, with a small group of people. There weren't any fences, just houses blocked here and there like usual. There was snow on the ground.

      The people I was walking with were my friend from school, and Rorschach from Watchmen. He wasn't wearing his mask, but he was wearing his trench coat and hat. I can't remember what my friend was wearing.

      I suddenly became lucid after walking for a few minutes, and I saw the snow. Immediately I knew this would be a good time to complete the basic task of the month - to hit a DC with a snowball. I figured hitting my friend wouldn't be as interesting as Rorschach, so I picked up a clump of snow (which felt more like the fake stuff) and tossed it at him. The ball didn't break, but instead it just fell to the ground as it whacked against his hat, which fell off.

      He didn't turn to face me, but just looked down and laughed humorously.

      "I'm going now guys," I said. "Bye!"

      I proceeded to start running and take off into the air with my usual flying technique. In a few moments, I realized I was over an evergreen forest, which was right beside a two-lane road. It was still dark outside, but I could see where I was going, once again thanks to the streetlights on the road. I felt myself sinking down as I flew, so I said loudly, "engage backup power" and I managed to fly higher than before. I spent the rest of the dream flying because I just didn't want to do anything else.

      As I was flying near the end of the dream, I remember smelling perogies.

    5. Food Court Lucidity, the Low Cave, the Beach

      Notes:
      I have no idea where this dream came from! It was very long and extremely clear.

      I was in the food court of some mall. It was a larger room with normal-height ceilings, and was lit well. There were a few nice half-walls to divide up the room into smaller sections, which were then filled with square tables and chairs. The tables were fastened to the ground through thicker poles like in some restaurants, and the chairs were just the regular kind, like something you'd find in a cafeteria.

      There were restaurants lining the walls, and I was situated in front of one of them. It was a fast food type of restaurant with lots of signs and menus against the back wall, and the counter was a few inches lower than it should have been. There were four women standing behind the counter; all four of them were dressed in a pale red t-shirt, and had a navy apron on. They also wore navy visors. One woman had blonde hair in a hairtie, and another had brown hair down to her shoulders. The other two had black hair - one's was straight, and the other's was curly. They looked between the ages of thirty and forty.

      I became lucid when I looked at them, shouting "woohoo!" before calming down. I was lucid enough to be careful of overexcitement, even though I've never woken up from it before. Unfortunately, having forgotten about my current dream goal, I decided to mess around with the dream characters in the food court. I walked up to the counter of the restaurant with the four women and asked them, "how many of there are you?" as if I was very surprised, hoping to get an interesting response.

      "I'm one," the first one said.
      "I'm two," the second one said.
      "I'm three," the third one said.
      The fourth lady didn't answer, but instead a voice from inside the restaurant somewhere said, echoingly and omnipresently, "I'm six."

      I raised my eyebrows and walked away, a bit humored.

      Then, I began to walk towards a woman that was sitting down at a two-chair table by herself. She had dirty-blonde hair down to her shoulders, and was wearing a light pink cashmere sweater, with sleeves that stopped at her arms. I leaned over, putting my elbows on the table, and held an imaginary microphone in my right hand, holding it out to her.

      "You're not real."
      "I know." The DC shrugged it off.
      "What's it like to be a dream character?"
      "It feels real to me."

      "Great answer!" I exclaimed, though I was admittedly a bit disappointed in the reply.

      I walked away, down the food court and past other restaurants and tables, and exited it, as if it were a store. I emerged into the atrium of a mall, and apparently I was on the second floor. There was a big hole in the middle, with the entrances to stores on the sides, like in some mall setups. There was a rather flat escalator leading down to the first floor, not as angled as a normal one. It was probably only at a 20 degree angle to the ground. I walked towards it and superjumped down, taking two jumps to get almost to the bottom. I then walked off the escalator, which turned out to not be moving. None of the DCs walking around the mall noticed.


      I'd now lost my lucidity. About ten feet across from the escalator I'd just came down on, there was another escalator leading back up to the second floor. I ran up it, exerting hardly any energy to do so even though it wasn't moving either, and on this side of the mall the floor was flatter pink carpet - I was in the children's clothing section. I saw a 7- or 8-year old girl walking around with her father, but I ignored it.

      The dream skipped, and now I found myself in the changeroom waiting area of the same section of the mall. This room was small, about five feet by five feet, and there was only one door leading to an actual changeroom. The walls were white. I was sitting on a lighter wooden bench; my dad was beside me. I became vaguely aware that I was dreaming so I got up, turned away from my dad (who was talking about something nonsensical), and told him to be quiet.

      "So, the train is in the park," he said, and laughed loudly.
      "Shut up!" I told him angrily.

      I was trying to turn him into a plate of cookies, but his noise-making was ruining the effect.

      After telling him to close his mouth a billion times, I got fed up. I groaned and looked at him, rolling my eyes in the process. "You suck."


      The dream skipped again, and now I was outside, the time of day probably being in the afternoon. I was in a city, on a smaller grassy hill. There were normal, taller city buildings around me - apartments, condos, and nice large houses. At the bottom of the hill, which wasn't that steep, there was a relatively large burrow made of grey brick and stone. There was grass, some street lights, and a sidewalk on top of it. The entrance to the burrow was low and only two or three feet high, which made me a bit uncertain about going into it. I looked past the burrow, towards my left, and my gaze caught The Matrix's Morpheus and Trinity on a balcony of an apartment complex. The building was rectangular and rather normal looking, if such a thing existed in a dream. Trinity walked into the sliding doors of the apartment, but Morpheus spoke.

      "Where are we going to meet?" he called.
      "Under here," I said, continuing to look at him.
      "Understreet, or underburrow?"

      (There's no such thing as understreet or underburrow!)

      "Under this burrow, dipshit."

      I then proceeded to look away and bring my attention back to the burrow. I walked to the right and went down the hill a few paces, realizing there was a much larger entrance. I went inside and it was pretty dark, but the floor and walls of the cave (which were made of huge chunks of shiny, wet grey rock) reflected some light from the end of the burrow. It was more like a tunnel than anything else, yet it was only seven or eight feet long. There were some Korean or Chinese students in blue jeans and t-shirts who were taking pictures with Kodak cameras, but I walked past them and emerged from the burrow.

      It was now night, and I had walked out onto a beach. The sand wasn't hilly, but pretty flat, and felt soft under my feet. At this time, I wasn't sure if I was wearing socks or shoes but I didn't care. I walked down the empty shore (except for the water and sand) for a little while and then came across a forty-foot high cliff made of dark brown rock. I stopped and looked out at the water, and then the moon, which was relatively glazed-over and hazy. The sky was dark navy with grey patches, as if there were low-hanging clouds.

      I heard someone walking up to me. I looked and saw a small Asian girl, probably around the age of six or seven, coming towards me. She was wearing a plain, sleeveless, yellow-beige dress with accents of white half-circles lining the bottom of it. She held out a rounded rectangular bar of light pink soap, and I took it. It didn't feel slippery or, really, like soap. It just felt like a smooth stone, but not as heavy.

    6. Back of a Semi and... Forgotten Stuff

      I hate it when I take too long to record dreams. And it just had to be this one.

      This was a rather high-level lucid. I was in the back of a semi truck, which was actually lit pretty well, casting light onto the thinner metal walls. There were large, empty cardboard boxes with unidentifiable red and white labels around the inside walls of the truck, but then proceeded to start sliding around as the vehicle started and stopped. I could feel the gravity and shifts as the truck did this, which was almost every few moments.

      I didn't know where I was.

      In this period of time, I know I became lucid. I also know that I got out of the truck by creating a blast of bluish, electric energy. When I did this, I was able to hear the electrical sound of something shorting out, and a realistic zapping noise. I then walked out and ended up on the field of a university campus. The university building was around forty feet away from me, as an estimate. It was pretty small, with light brick and stone walls, but the area around the building was very big. It consisted mostly of trimmed grass and a running track that went around the perimeter of the campus. I knelt down and smelled the grass (while looking around me at the same time to not lose focus). The grass smelled rather sweet, almost too sweet. I touched it with my hands and it felt damp.

      Next, I believe I looked up and the actor Edward Norton appeared behind me. But the strange thing was, I didn't summon him myself. However, I figured I wouldn't let it go to waste because he looked almost perfect and normal. I kissed him, and he kissed me back.


      This dream consisted of more stuff, but unfortunately I took too long to record it.

    7. Dream, Make the Light Work

      I became lucid almost immediately at the beginning of this dream, or at least at the beginning of what I can remember of this dream. I was in my house, near the front door. The lighting was rather poor, like someone had turned the dimmer switch down a lot. I suddenly had an epiphany that I was dreaming, and shouted, "yes!"

      I didn't have as much energy as my usual lucids, probably because I wasn't as aware as usual. Given the lucid/recall dryspell I'd been going through, that wasn't really much of a surprise. I plugged my nose quickly and tried to breathe; I could, so it confirmed the dream. I was about to walk out the door, but first I wanted to fix the lighting. I looked down at the floor - it was made up of big square pieces of medium brown hardwood, and there was no carpet like there should have been. "Dreams do tend to mess things up..." I said.

      I looked to the right, now standing almost directly in front of the door, and saw an arcing floor lamp. It was all silver, and had a circular marble-type base. The end of it was shaped like a half circle, which could swivel to direct light. The bulb, just a plain halogen bulb, wasn't on. I looked at it and commanded, "turn on."

      Nothing happened.

      I didn't want to spend the rest of the time trying to command the bulb to work, so I spoke directly to the dream. "Dream, make the light work."

      The bulb turned on in an instant. It didn't affect how bright the room itself was, but the bulb itself glowed just like a normal bulb.

    8. Flying

      I was outside my house, which is a bungalow on a small crescent street, standing on the driveway.

      I became lucid almost immediately and shouted "yes!" like I normally do when I achieve higher degrees of awareness. It was rather dark outside, so I shouted "make the sky lighter" in a commanding manner, and the sky brightened somewhat. It wasn't a bright sort of sky blue, like the real thing would be, but it was very close. Then I flew, taking off from the driveway and pushing to go faster and faster. My usual method of flying is using the Iron Man suit, which hasn't failed me yet. I have yet to try creating a HUD along with it, though.

      I held my hand out as I was flying, and I was actually wearing the armor, instead of just pretending I was wearing it. I could see from my elbow to my hand, which is less than I should've been able to see, but it was definitely there. There weren't quite as many pieces as the real armor, but the armor was shiny. I held my hand out flat against the direction I was flying in, and a blast of white light came out with that high-pitched repulsor sound.

      I landed on a sidewalk next to a huge convention center with a stucco exterior, hoping to try and complete a dream goal, but the dream ended.

    9. The Steel Pyroball

      Another awesome, higher-level lucid, but again I managed to completely forget about my dream goals. Although I did have fun with a fire/steel ball.
      I was in an airplane. However, this airplane was very spacious; the ceiling was at least twice as high as that of a normal airplane, and it was at least three times as wide. The flooring was hardwood and the seats were against the left and right side of the plane, facing towards the middle, which left a lot of space in the center for people to get up and walk around (the individual seats themselves were identical to those in a real airplane). The inside walls were the same, too: slightly beveled and off-white, with tiny rounded windows.

      The airplane was about forty feet long. One end of it just became a wall, but the other end was rather bizarre: it turned into a balcony that overlooked the inside of a house, more specifically the first floor. The square tiling of the lower level's floor was shiny, golden-colored. There was a set of stairs just wide enough for two people to walk down simultaneously, and it went straight down into a large room with the same gold tile flooring. I walked around for a bit and looked down the stairs. [B]I turned around again and suddenly became lucid. I walked towards the left side of the plane, to where a bunch of chairs were lined up against the wall, and looked out one of the small windows between the spaces of the chairs.

      Outside there were clouds and sky. The scenery had changed from the plane being a part of a house to it actually being in the air. I turned around and the plane was sealed up, no more house or stairs. I saw a curtain closed on that end, pale, darker maroon like some airplanes have up near the front to divide the passengers off from the captain's quarters. Then I looked back towards the chairs and backed up a bit, against the wall. I held my hand out, cupping it slightly, and expected a ball of fire to appear.

      I didn't get a ball of fire. Instead, I got an intricate ball made of flat steel triangle links. All the links were curling around each other and interlocking to form a steel ball. It looked like one of those three-dimensional puzzles that challenged the person to try taking it apart and putting it back together. At first it was tiny, but as it grew to the size of an apple within seconds, I could see the shape of the links better. I then envisioned fire appearing around it, and it did. It was a sort of fiery film that looked realistic, but trapped within an invisible sphere surrounding the links. The fire wouldn't come outwards. I pulled my hand back and shot the ball at the wall of the airplane, but as it flew straight through the air (not arcing like a ball), it grew smaller and smaller until it disappeared entirely. "Crap," I said, because I hoped it would have blasted a part of the plane. I didn't "expect" it to destroy part of the plane or visualize it, though, so that was probably why it didn't work.

      Then the dream faded away. I ended up having a false awakening where I attempted a DEILD, and I became stuck in what I believed was intense sleep paralysis. My eyes were closed, but I could somehow still see, and I felt like someone was typing with their fingers on my right arm, which was dropped over the edge of the bed. I changed my breathing pattern, hoping to escape the "sleep paralysis", and then I woke up for real in a completely different position, which confirmed I had really just been dreaming.

    10. Laboratory and the Login Screen

      This was a long dream; I know other things happened, but I honestly can't recall what necessarily happened! And it's too bad I can't remember some of the smaller details, such as exactly what the names on the computer screen said.

      I was in the laundry room, located in my basement. You know. It's that back room that has the washing machine and dryer, as well as other crap from around the house. The room was about fourteen feet wide by twenty feet long, and had cold concrete flooring that was painted pale, pale blue. Some of it was chipping off. There were large random segments of cut, flat Berber carpet (blue in color) around the floor, supposedly just for comfort as one would walk into the room. On the right was the washing machine, and right next to it was the dryer. They were both white and shiny. In the back half of the room, past the washing machine and dryer, was a wall dividing up the room. On the left, once you'd get to the wall, was a door. To the right of the wall, on the back end of the right side of the room, was a large white horizontal freezer.

      I was looking to get someone to see my laboratory. No one was following me, but I was acting as if someone was. It's fairly difficult to explain. I went to the left side and opened the door, expecting a laboratory to be behind it. There was a small room with single squares of toilet paper neatly placed all over the walls. I laughed because of this and became lucid.

      I looked around the lab and saw a long, all-steel desk against the wall with a black widescreen computer on it. There was no chair in front of it, so I was standing. I was lucid so, just for laughs, I decided to turn the computer on.

      I imagined it was simply in "sleep" mode, and then pressed a round silver button in the lower right-hand part of the monitor, like many computers have. To the left of it were smaller, black buttons. The screen turned on almost immediately and I felt almost enlightened by it. Maybe it's because I've never used a computer in lucid dreams before, but I just happened to have easy access to one this time. I was very lucid, probably at 8/10 lucidity, but I didn't think of what my dream goals were or what else I could do. After turning the computer on, the first thing that appeared was the windows login screen.



      There were four or five different names on the right side of the Windows logo, like a regular computer would have. However, the text of the account names was a bit larger, and in yellow. The names were also longer, at least ten characters each, some with underscores and random uppercase letters or numbers. I laughed once again, because most of them made no sense, and also because the computer actually worked properly. At least, from what I did with it so far. It was pretty awesome.

    11. Flying over the Stark Expo

      I decided against completing my goals yet again, and have some fun. I'd watched Iron Man 2 the night before this dream, so the content of this dream was obviously from day residue. Flying is probably the most amazing thing I've ever done in a lucid, and this might just be the best session I've had doing it.

      I was by myself at the Stark Expo, which was like a big outdoor amusement park. However, in the dream, it was located indoors, in some massive convention center with impossibly high ceilings. The ground was flat concrete or something, which was difficult to discern because it was rather dark (but there were lights overhanging the areas that people were walking. I was standing next to a long, rectangular fountain. There were five or six circular fountains positioned inside the rectangle-shaped one, and all of them were simultaneously spouting water in random intervals.

      I remember seeing a ferris wheel across the fountain and wanting to ride on it, but decided against it because I heard it was very unstable and could tip over. After the contemplation, I saw someone running towards me. The closer he got, the lighter and more visible he became; the man got within ten feet of me before I realized it was Tony Stark, one of my favourite superhero characters. Since he's played by Robert Downy Jr. in the movies, that was how he looked in the dream.

      He was wearing jeans with a small rip in one knee, and a fitted dark green t-shirt. "Hey," he said, bending over slightly and catching his breath. I didn't hear him exhaling, even though I should have because of how fast he had run towards me. "What are we doing now?"

      "I think you should get back at that guy for attacking you here last week." Then I remembered, "right, he's dead." And that's when I became lucid. "...Oh my god, am I dreaming?" I asked myself, and did the nose plug reality check to confirm. "Yes!" I shouted.

      I assumed flight position and took off with my invisible armor, shooting straight up towards the ceiling. The ceiling disappeared sometime during this, revealing the night sky. I felt the acceleration and slight vibrations like actual flight would entail, as well as a slight gravitational/g-force pressure as I went higher and higher. I heard what sounded like a small rocket behind me and at that moment, I assumed that Tony Stark was following me. Until now I was heading straight up, but then I leveled out so I was parallel to the earth. It felt like I was ten thousand feet above the ground, and below me I could see the Expo, along with a few other cities. I was getting a bit excited and, fearing I'd wake up, I decided to turn and fly towards the ground. It only took a few seconds to get close to the ground of the Stark Expo again, and when I was a mere thirty or so feet away, I pulled back and positioned myself upright. I slowly drifted down onto the ground like I was a feather.

      I have no idea where Tony went, because I didn't see him anywhere after I landed. I felt like I was on the verge of waking up, so I rubbed my hands and kneeled down on the ground, rubbing the concrete with my hands. It was a bit smooth for concrete, but since it was divided into large squares, I caught my fingernails in the cracks to create more tactile simulation.


      The dream ended abruptly as my alarm clock rang. 6:35.

    12. Driveway Lucidity

      I know this dream was longer, but I can't remember anything else!
      In the beginning of the dream, it was daytime, and I was sitting cross-legged on the driveway of my house. My house was on a clean, smaller street with nicely arranged bungalows; there were also a couple large trees here and there. My driveway was a bit cracked up because it was fairly old. My front yard was a 15x15 foot area of grass with a tiny evergreen tree, only a few years old, in the middle. In real life had planted it when I came home from a school field trip four years ago, and it appeared in the dream now.

      I didn't look back at my house at all, and was just looking out onto the street. I heard my mom coming and glanced to the side, seeing her sit down beside me with a skimpy metal rake. "Here, you have to do the leaves," she said. I thought about it for a few instances and then became lucid, saying, "am I dreaming?"

      "Yes," she said, sounding uninterested, and got up. She started to walk away and I looked around the street, asking, "you sure?" and she replied "yes" again in the same tone. I'd never been told by a DC that I was dreaming, so that was exciting. I didn't even use dream control to make her say that. However, since my lucidity was pretty low, I didn't remember my dream goals. I started to run down the street, randomly superjumping (even feeling gravity pull me back down), until I woke up. It was fun, but not what I would've done if I was more aware.

    13. The Elevator

      This dream was short-lived and went on to a bunch of other ones, but I managed to complete the task of the month for September.

      I was in a large rectangular room with high ceilings; it was lit by fluorescent lights. The flooring was made of large, dark green marble tiles, with a bit of white caulking in between each tile. As one could imagine, the room was fairly dark even with the lights shining down on it. In one corner of the room were two steps that led to a lower part of the floor, with the same marble tiles. The steps were shaped like a quarter of a circle, and the corner was up against corner of a wall. It fit perfectly.

      In this lower part, there was a grand piano that was very dark brown in coloration. On the wall next to the piano, at least thirty feet long, were large rectangular windows going all the way up to the ceiling. It was dark outside, but there was still a bit of light out there. [B]I became lucid as I was looking at the window, and did a little dance (as I always do when I obtain higher lucidity). I said, "yes, now I'm lucid enough to complete a dream goal or two!"

      With that, I turned around and went down the long room, looking for a way to exit the building. I didn't want to go through the windows because it was dark outside, and I couldn't change that very quickly. I walked down the hallway and saw an elevator on the left, in the wall, which was still made of marble tiles. It was a shiny, darker gray elevator, with a metal plate and two buttons on the right side of it. They were rounded rectangles, transparent white with scratched-up red arrows going up and down. I pushed the "down" button.

      The elevator arrived only moments later, and I got on. The flooring in the elevator was like a glass mosaic, made of thick cubes of glass. I could see something underneath the glass which made me a bit nervous, but I pushed it away. The elevator automatically went down without me having to push a button; there weren't any, anyways. I wanted a bit of excitement in this dream, so I expected the elevator to speed up. It did, and it began to accelerate quickly; I started to float upwards against the ceiling which looked like that of a normal elevator. I was now squished against it, but pushed off using my feet and floated in zero-gravity for a few moments. The sounds the elevator made as it was accelerating were becoming quieter as it slowed down to a halt.

      The door opened and I saw a room with pale green tiles as the floor, and dark green ones for the walls. The ceiling was black. It looked, in essence, like the room I'd just came from. I walked out into the room and it was a fat rectangle in shape; the elevator was in the middle of one of the longer walls, and there was a slightly rounded wooden reception desk on the other side, sided by two square pillars made of dark green marble tiles. I ignored it and looked to the right, expecting a door to be in the wall, and there was. It was the kind of door you'd find at the front of a chocolate shop, mostly glass with a simple wooden frame around it. This door was fairly wide and let lots of light into the building. Outside, there was a sidewalk and a city building.

    14. Suicine and Giratina Shapeshifting

      This was awesome! I'm not that interested in pokemon right now, and I don't know why I decided to try shapeshifting into one, but regardless, this was one of the best lucids I've had in a few weeks.

      I was in some sort of large community hall. It was very modern-looking. The room was well-lit, and the floors and walls were almost completely smooth. There were large rectangular glass sculpture mosaics placed randomly around the room and all the reflections bounced off of each other. The room consisted of two separate levels; exactly one half of the room was a few inches higher than the other. Joining the two levels were two or three small steps, and this was where I stood. In this area, there was two glass mosaics (described earlier) on either side of me. Because of this, and the shadows the sculptures casted, it was darker where I was standing. When I actually looked at the mosaics with more awareness than before, I saw that the glass was solid and wasn't actually made of tiny pieces of glass. The solid "mosaics" then turned into shiny black granite sculptures, still the same shape as before.

      I could see my reflection in them, and I exclaimed, "wow, I can actually see my reflection!" At that moment, I became lucid and made another exclamation, more excited than before.

      Then I thought of my dream goals, and after a few moments of standing there without any idea as to what they were, I decided to ditch the goals and try something else. The first word that came into my head was "Suicine", a pokemon. Okay, good enough, but I still wasn't sure as to what I could do with one. I walked up the few steps and was now in the open part of the room. I looked around and the lighting suddenly became dimmer, although not uncomfortably dark. "Increase lighting", I said commandingly, and the lighting increased a bit. I didn't want to spend the rest of the dream making it even lighter, though. I turned around, expecting a Suicune to be there, and it was.

      It was actually very realistic for the most part, properly proportioned and the right colors, and I could see the details of the fur on its face and body. It was staring at me from fifteen or twenty feet away, and then began to quickly dash towards me. I was hoping it wouldn't make a run for me, but I thought it was a bit late to try fixing that. My lucidity was a bit lower now, but I could still think pretty well. I waited for it to come very close to me, and then I turned around, facing the other way. I saw the Suicune blend over my own body, like a blanket, and I could feel myself inside it now, as if I'd merged with it. I now began to walk and the shape of the Suicune became more and more defined. I began to run fast, on all four legs, up a set of granite stairs that led outside. It was fairly dark but this still didn't bother me. I was now along the side of the building, made of the same reflective granite as the sculptures inside.

      I ditched the Suicune guise by expecting myself to be me again, and looked at myself in the granite, waving and doing all sorts of silly things. Then I thought it would be cool to shapeshift into a Giratina, so I did this, using the same method as before. I saw a Giratina in origin forme flying down on me from the fairly dark sky, and then I just let it fuse with my own body. It felt quite strange. I turned around to look in the mirror and saw a Giratina in my place, but it was now in altered forme (the forme with legs, not a serpentine body). I walked to the left and saw the Giratina do the same thing. Then I flapped my wings and rose off the ground a few inches. I looked away from the mirror and began to fly into the darkness of the area. The lighting increased around me then, as if I were holding a lantern in my hand. Wherever I flew, the area was lit up for a radius of around twenty feet.

    15. Take the Phone

      The location of this dream was unfamiliar to me, but I knew I was at a friend's house. This house was a bungalow, single-story, with light tan stone as the exterior with white windows and a white door. It was out somewhere in the country, placed away from a single strip of highway, connected by a smooth, slightly uphill asphalt driveway. On either side of the property were other houses, spaced generously apart, and there were tall evergreens at the sides of the yards acting like fences. It was daytime, and I knew this as the dream began, but it was as if the sky was toned down. The colors were the same as they'd be during the day, but in a darker hue, like someone had mixed the blue with black.

      In the center of the driveway of the house, which two cars could drive down side-by-side, was a silver car that looked rather modern, almost like a Nissan 350z. It looked "warped", as many things do in a dream, but still realistic. It's difficult to say what exactly was warped about it.

      I was standing in the driveway with a girl around the age of twenty; she was my friend, and also the person who owned the house. She told me that there was someone in the backyard with a shotgun, and that she ran out here to get my help. I must have been at the house for some while, then. But how did she think I'd be able to stop this intruder? At that moment, I became lucid, saying "yes!" and looking around. My lucidity wasn't high enough for me to remember my dream goals or act too consciously, unfortunately. Because of this I decided to just go to the backyard and apprehend the person. Losing lucidity almost as quickly as it came, I veered from going to the backyard (down the side of the house) to going up a few steps and banging on the front door. The door was solid wood that'd been painted white, and there was a fancy glass window on it, almost frosted-looking. There was darkness behind the window, and a dim yellow glow as if all the lights but one were off. The intruder had gone from being behind the house to inside the house.

      The door opened quickly and I stepped back. A man (probably Mexican) was looking at me; he had a short beard and his eyes looked as if he hadn't slept in a few days. He pulled back a bit, back into the house, and then came out of the house, closing the door behind him. We were both right up against each other, and then I realized he was holding a cell phone. It was one of those chunky ones from back in the day, the ones that were the size of bricks. It was light gray in color and rather squareish.

      He stared at me, shifting his weight over from one foot to the other. He then held the phone out towards me, looking at it and then back at me. "Take it," he told me in a fairly dark and heavy voice. The last thing I remember is staring down at the phone, becoming lucid, and then waking up. I DEILDed into another dream.
