My school's divided up into a lot of different parts. There's the massive main atrium of the school which holds middle and senior school classes. Then, there's the junior school section off to the side, and on the other side of the school was a wing for the kindergarten and nursery kids. I was in that last part mentioned. On the third floor, there was a large room (probably twenty feet long and wide) that branched off into a few different classrooms. To get to this room, you had to go up a set of stairs. These stairs were against the wall and went two floors above the main level, for a total of three floors

I started off on the main level and then ran up the stairs, as if I were in a hurry. The stairs were wooden and had gray rubber edging on the edges, probably so the young kids wouldn't hurt themselves too badly if they tripped or something. Instead of polished wood like in real life, the railings were thick steel and looked like the kind you'd find on the edges of a hospital bed. When I got to the top of the staircase, there was a small table in the middle of the room. I went over to it and the dream skipped.

I was now in my house; in the hallway to be exact. I can't remember what the hallway flooring looked like, but I do remember the walls were white. On the edges of the walls, like when you'd turn a corner, there was brown molding like what you'd see along the floor. The lighting was dimmer than normal but it was still bright enough to see everything. I took a few steps down the hallway, going past closed doors painted white, and came across a deep, perfectly square-shaped indent in the wall. Inside, it was lined with smooth, thin panels of wood and on the bottom were fine wood shavings. I saw a small armadillo-like creature, about the size of an adult's palm, inside. It was a fairly shiny grey color, but it also looked worn out, or rusted. Its legs weren't positioned underneath it, but they sort of came out the sides.

It looked up at me and wobbled over to the edge of the indent, moving almost like a penguin. I picked it up and knew that it'd want to be with the others. I walked down the hallway, holding it in my hands, and entered the living room. There was a light gray carpet and the walls were the same white color, same lighting, but with none of the wood accents on the walls anymore. There was no furniture or objects except a small cage with the top part missing. It was a very wide and long cage, but not very tall. There was dollhouse furniture inside it, and there was green velvet underneath to act as a carpet. I saw three or four other armadillos inside. I looked at the one in my hand and put it in the cage with the others. As I was putting it inside, I became aware that I was dreaming and stopped to stabilize the dream a bit. "Yes, another lucid," I said to myself, rather excited. I remembered the elevator task for September, but I decided against doing it again, and then decided against my better judgement to go explore a mall. I turned away from the cage, standing up now, and looked at the wall. There was a door there now, instead of the entrance to the hallway. My dream control worked well as the door opened; I stepped into a large mall. I was on the second floor and since there was a large hole in the middle, I could see the floor below as well.

I was beginning to lose my lucidity as I turned away and expected myself to be on the first floor. For some reason, I felt like going to Sears! It worked, and I was now on the first floor. I looked to the left and saw the Sears sign right there (distorted, of course, but recognizable). My lucidity was continuing to go down, but I now got the idea to go break into the store.

The store was closed; two entirely-glass doors was all that stood between me and breaking in. I ran at the door and smashed it down, closing my eyes to avoid getting glass in them. I felt my eyes close but could still see, and then I opened them again. There was a cashier in a navy air attendant outfit, standing in the middle of the entrance and pointing a gun at my face. A shot rang out and I dodged it.
