Short entry today, running on 5 hours of sleep.

The set-up
I wasn't myself, but I was watching this first person. My mother had been killed. I'd heard that there was a plot to kick the ass of the suspected guy who did it, as he was still roaming free. I had my doubts it was him though. I remembered reading something, somewhere, that had cast this suspicion on my mind.

I'm standing at a fence and talking with my IWL mother (though she wasn't my mum in the dream, obviously). It's night time. She told me that the plot was to lure the guy to this site, next door. He was a security guard and his "company" had promised him $18.50/h to take on this new site, which is pretty top wage for a guard. He was all super excited about it.

He finally appears in my dream. He's dancing and singing on the other side of the fence. He keeps coming a little too close to me and it's freaking me out. Doesn't he have any idea who I am? He's suspected of killing my mother!! My WL-mum was disgusted with his behaviour.

Then, I saw people arrive. A good 10 of them. At first, they all started lining up at the fence (on his side, not ours). I saw a girl and recognized her as Nita, from my radio course. We did the old handshake my brother and I used to do (it's nothing elaborate. It's like a hand grasp, slide, finger grasp, fist bump). She tried to give me this, "Don't worry, he deserves this," look. I still had my doubts.

They started dragging him off into the building. "What the hell?" the guy started to say. They took him inside, and I could hear him shouting and I could hear them kicking and beating him. It was really awful to listen to "What if he IS innocent?" I kept thinking. "What if he's enduring this for nothing?"

"Mum, do you really think that this guy did it?" I asked.

"Yep, I absolutely do," my mum said. There wasn't a doubt in her mind he's getting his comeuppance, but it didn't make me feel any better about it.

Bravo? - Lucid - 1/5
Walked around telling dream characters how lucid I am and I'm dreaming right now... Yep. I remember holding a "My Magic Diary" that I was chatting to Naiya about last night. It, apparently, was my proof of lucidity.



Woke up at 5am for my WILD. Failed, because I was so tired I passed out.

The half-way house (work dream)
I had to do a shift at an old site of mine (a halfway house).

I got on site and forgot to check in with the staff. I went into "my room" and started watching TV. A couple of the clients were in there with me.

I needed to change into pajamas for some reason. I took my pants off and realized the guys were still in the room. I didn't move further, they got bored of me and left.

I decided to do a patrol and I realized I haven't checked in yet! I looked at my watch. 9:37 at night. Here's where it's confusing. Earlier, I thought my shift was supposed to be 6p-6a, but at this point, I thought it was 10-6. So I wasn't actually late. Anyways, I went down to the staff room and the girl was on the phone. I apologized for forgetting to check in, I just wanted to jump right into my work. She mentioned she was worried I hadn't shown and she was just trying to find shift coverage, but it's all cool.

Back to bed...

Haunted or scientific?
I was in a room in an old house. It wasn't any house of ours and I knew that, but I was impressed that the layout of the furniture was the same as an old room of mine.

I thought the room was haunted. I had this stuffed animal in hand and there was this weird air current over the bed. It was hard finding the balance, but I got the stuffed animal to hover on its own in mid-air. I left the room to get mum and brought her back to show her.

We got back in the room, and the stuffed animal had fallen over. I was disappointed but I attempted to set the animal back up. My mum explained the air current was coming from somewhere and that it wasn't haunted.

Got woke up by Jack's alarm...

FF7 like adventure
There was a DC boyfriend (we'll call him Colton). This theme carried throughout the dream. Just lots of kissy-face and flirting when we were in scenes together. But I can't remember tons of specifics about them.

A group needed to go into the depths of the earth to defeat the last boss (think FF7 where you keep having to travel downwards into the earth to fight Sephiroth). This group included Colton, but not me for some reason.

There was this big hole with light shining up in the middle of a room. They jumped down the hole, and I got to work on some scrolls at a table in the room. I wrote an incantation on the paper. Then I placed my hands on it and imbued it with light energy. I made up about 10 of them when the party jumped back up the hole. I imagined that someone in the party could toss the scroll in the air and they would be showered with golden healing light as the scroll dissolved.

The party emerged from the hole, looking defeated. One of the girls was nearly in tears, because this boss was very difficult.

"Hey, we're gonna need some scrolls," Colton says.

"Got them all ready for you!" I grinned.

Bambi the bunny
I was trying to clean our rabbit's cage, but I was having a lot of difficulties with this task. Every time I took the top off the cage, Bambi would escape! She's a bit of a terror around the house, IWL (I call her "Destructor" as her nickname).

Anyways, that's all this dream was about. Having issues with trying to keep the bunny from running around the house...

No WBTB attempts made today. Woke up at 2am, and found the BF was still awake and watching TV on my couch I didn't want him to know I'd woken up and he apparently didn't hear my alarm go off, so... I just rolled over and fell back to sleep

Random stuff - same dream
I was at a gym, working out. I was talking about something that was supposed to be impossible (I can't recall what, though).

I went outside and I saw this mini car (smaller than a smart car) get pulled into the back of a freight truck, via rope. The truck took off and the back wasn't closed, so the mini-car came tumbling out the back! I could see through the windshield that someone was inside the car! I could tell by the look on his face that this was an intentional stunt. However, he started puffing his cheeks out like he was going to vomit . This made me feel queasy, so I turned away.

I felt something very softly putting pressure on my back. I suddenly realized I was laying down on the ground, and that "pressure" was a car that had stopped (that nearly ran me over). I got up and assured the driver that I was already lying down, they didn't hit me.

I went inside this apartment building that had a spreadsheet on the wall. It was full of people advertising to sub-let their condos, monthly rent and conditions. All of the rentals were asking for upwards of $3,000/month. I sadly couldn't afford that, so I walked away.

I'm in yet another building, and my mum's complaining that the workers that were in here were disgusting. So many things in the basement are now coated in dried up sperm I decided to investigate. I encountered a long black hose connecting a sink to a wall... yep, that's all crusted I went into the washroom and saw more in a soap dish. As I woke up, I was saying "Ewwww!" over and over in the outro of the dream.

Hanging out with The Beatles
I was on a ship with some DC's. Notably, i was hanging out with a young John and Paul (George and Ringo were there too, but not in sight atm).. We were playing on this baseball diamond.

The baseball diamond had stuff lying across it (was like we were in a storage compartment of some sort), but we decided to mess around in there, anyways. I was standing with my foot on home plate and John had the ball. We looked at Paul and I told John to toss the ball to me. Paul started running towards the plate as the ball was in the air. I almost dropped it, but didn't. "You're out!" I gleefully told him.

The 5 of us walked towards this tent thing. Like festival tenting - metal poles with a canvas roof. I inwardly thought about how much I love hanging out with them. I guess I had some inkling that this wasn't normal, but, I wasn't lucid. I was mostly just enjoying myself! Some DC's were eating at this tent.Something about a girl here, who was lying about who she had said she was. Can't remember much else about this, but whatever it was, it had me pissed off.

We docked at something that was like an indoors terminal (like going from the inside of an airplane to the inside of the airport. Except this was going from the inside of the ship to the inside of the building). There was a lady standing behind a desk in a uniform (white blouse, green vest and skirt) just to my right. I was standing at the entrance to this terminal, waiting. Had something to do with that lying girl. The guys told me to come back and eat with them. I guess we weren't getting off here.

Chatting with an ex
The dream actually first starts out with blackness. To be honest, I'm not sure if I dreamed this, or this was real. But I was experiencing really strong SP vibrations. I tried to move my hand through it, to test if it was my dream hand or real hand. I decided it was real. I entered a dream scene.

I was at some water slides with mum and Jack. I don't know why, but I didn't want to be there. Jack and Mum sent my tube down the slide and they went too. There was this side-slide that I traveled down, to catch up to my tube. At the bottom of the slide, I was in a new dream.

I was sitting on a couch with Maxwell (an old ex), just talking (in an apartment). He hands me this brown folder. It's a bit bulky. In it, I see this little slip of paper, that used to serve as a speed dial menu for a phone. Our names were on the same menu option, suggesting that we used to live together/shared the same phone number. We never did, IRL, but my dream self recognized it. I asked him why he would keep such a thing?

I went through the folder some more, and found this piece of paper with some crossed out directions on it. I said, "Oh, this was my fault!" Maxwell was confused. I said that what happened was, there were landmarks I was giving this person, and I didn't quite describe them properly.

During some point of our conversation, I make the comment, "Yeah married life hasn't been all it's cracked up to be." He agrees with me.

We hear someone enter the apartment. It's his RL girlfriend, Carlene. He greets her, and then returns to talk to me, and Carlene disappears. She re-emerges wearing a house coat and a towel on her head. I say to her, "Hey, Carlene!" She's surprised to see me, but we hug. We all started chatting.

My mum randomly emerges, saying the banana cream pie is ready. Maxwell and Carlene both take very large pieces. There was only one bit left that was already smaller than what those two had, but I cut it in half, not wanting to be greedy.

I heard what sounded like my phone's alarm clock (which is a very gentle, rolling guitar thingy). I played a second time and I woke up. However, the sound did not carry through into real life. I looked at my clock. It's 5am... my alarm wasn't set until 7am... I did a RC. Definitely awake. But how weird, that my alarm woke me from my dream, but it never actually went off

I remember the banana cream pie showed up in a later dream.

I didn't put a lot of effort into recall today.

I did attempt a WILD after 6 hours of sleep. I wanted to test whether it was better for me to do one with the WBTB or to do them separate. The verdict remains to keep them separate. I didn't slip into HI at all! Although I did experience some intense SP, complete with shaking, flashing lights behind my eyelids and even some noises... I tried floating and rolling and visualizing and after all that, I was still awake.

Verdict: Better for me to split them up. I prefer having the HI and just working on the balancing act between sleep and consciousness.

Train station
I'm at a train station. I use some keys to unlock some doors. On the other side, there is a man coming up the escalator. He's old, and false memory tells me his name is Joe, and he's falling into dementia.

He walks past me and he says, "Oh, thank you for unlocking the door! My dog, Joe, ran through here, and I need to find him!"

Even though it was supposed to be my job to kick him out, I decided not to.

Cameras
I was watching security cameras, surveying the festival grounds that is in town (it's actually over, now). I realize I have been missing things, and I feel guilty for not doing my job right.

WILD. Failed - I fell asleep

School crimes
Myself and another classmate got called out of class. We went across the hall to the washrooms, where there were more police. Someone had been murdered in there, and they think he's still in the building.

I suddenly get this vision of two people sitting next to each other, engulfed in flames.

We go back across the hall and out the windows everything is pitch dark, and the other classroom building has fire coming out of every window. I'm glad I'm over here, but my locker is in that building. I wonder how much stuff I kept in there?

I was on the DV forums, in Naiya's WILD class. She was listing off a bunch of people who were successful last night. I was very disappointed that I wasn't one of them

9:50am
Wonky Elevator
I was in a classroom again. Nita (old classmate) gave my water glass to someone else. I was rather upset by this, and walked out to get another glass of water before class started.

I only needed to go down two floors, and I contemplated the stairs, but I was feeling really tired, so I decided to take the elevator. This girl asks me to hold the doors. I thought she was Nita, but it turned out to be a DC.

I hit the button for 64 (we were on 68). She hits the button for 2. The elevator doesn't even stop on 64, and the girl is all like, "WTF?" She tries to choose another floor for me to get off, but it still doesn't work. Then, it feels like we're going sideways, rather than down! I think to myself, "Wow, this elevator is acting rather dream-like!"

The girl distracted me from my brief lucidity by telling me we'll have to jump out of the doors once it reaches the main floor. We do so. I really don't need to be this far down though (and I've completely forgotten about the lucidity). I feel tense, because now my class has started, and I need to get back up. I have to try to jump back on the same way I jumped off...

I needed to go to the dentist, but I was avoiding him, because he wanted to do another costly procedure on my teeth. My dentist was actually "being played" by my doctor.

I told him I had to reschedule, because there was a meeting came that came up for some school thing.

Keyboard
I was at work, playing the keyboard (piano) in the server room.

Walking
I'm not postive as to why, but there were hundreds of people walking along the road. I was walking fairly slowly, and lost Jack in the crowd. There was a DC-guy who told me he would stay with me.

My old college instructor, Jules, turns around from in front of me and tells me I look like Grover, from the Muppet show



I tell him, "That's not a very nice thing to say!"

Missed my WBTB/WILD

Car crash
My boss was loading more and more pressure on my site, which was making me feel awful. I can't remember the specifics.

I really didn't feel like taking the transit into work, because I was feeling so tired and un-energetic. I took a cab into work. We're going along and we notice that the cars are driving on the wrong side of the road (weird car behaviour = DS). The cabbie waits for the cars to pass until he turns onto the road. When he does, we approach a group of teenagers standing right in the middle of the road, and they don't care to mover, either. The cabbie cuts through them and makes a sharp left turn in the middle of the group. He makes a sharp right turn, but accidentally spins out and I hear (and feel) a thwump! on our back end as he accidentally hit one of the teenagers in the group. I screamed. Instead of just getting out straight away, the cabbie maneuvers the car away to park it. I was shouting at him not to bother with that.

He goes out to see what he can do, and I remained in the cab. These chicks come up and they tell me to get out. The cabbie took their friend's life, so they should get the cab. Immediately, I'm feeling confrontational, and I push one of the girls away, but then I realize, they did just lose a friend. Instead of provoking the fight, I start talking with them. Eventually they joined me in the car and they were telling me about their friend and it was all really sad :morecry: I remember trying to lighten it by saying something like, "Maybe he's just injured?" or "Maybe he's just got the wind knocked out of him and he's alright?" I remember asking his name. They gave it, and it was something horribly unpronounceable that started with an A.

Another Work Dream
We were having a site meeting at this new site of ours. I'm not entirely sure how or why this was, but our guard was doubling as a cashier for a pastry shop. It must have been an early morning meeting, because I showed up hungry. I contemplated over muffins or pastries for breakfast, and eventually settled on a blueberry cheesecake

I remember briefly talking to Rachel.

We were all then in a circuit training gym. I was on the station just before my friend, Elise (who doesn't actually work with me). She's done this before, but I haven't. I'm staring at this structure with two long ropes dangling from it, with little posts at the end of the ropes for me to stand on. Elise explains that I have to jog in mid-air while standing on those posts. She explains how to get onto the ropes properly so I'm in a standing position. I can't replicate it, and I end up with my back parallel to the ground. Elise just sighs and says she'll show me when it's her turn.

Baby Elephant
I was watching my friend (a DC) creep along a wall. Around the corner from her was a baby elephant. I tried to tell her not to scare the elephant, but she shushes me. She and the elephant peer around their edges of the corner at the same time.

The baby elephant is slightly startled, but my friend offers her hand, slowly. She then starts petting the baby elephant's forehead and neck. The elephant closes its eyes and relaxes into this look of supreme contentedness/happiness at getting petted. It was really cute!

Slept sometime between 1am and 11am

Muppet show drama
There was a Miss Piggy like character named Holly, who the other muppets were trying to get rid of. I'm not sure how they reckoned this, but if they could get Holly to jump on the trampolene 10 times, it would mean she had to leave. I watched them set up the act, and she stopped on a couple of occasions. Some other muppets were jumping with her, encouraging her to keep going. She completed her 10, but I woke up during the point they told her it meant she had to leave the show.

At a gym
Working out. Or so my notes tell me

Money stress
I remember us vaguely being at a house, first. Dad is stressing over our money situation. We all go out to a Donair place and each contribute to the bill.

Boyfriend troubles
I find my boyfriend is still sleeping, but he's set up his bed in the closet.
"Wake up, you need to get your day started," I tell him.
"I can't," he says.
"Well, then I can't pretend like things are okay between us," I said. He positions his head in a way that I can kiss him, but I ignore it and walk out.

I talk with his mum and my mum about something, but I can't recall what.

Weird sleep between 1:00a-9:00a approx

Danny's house
I'm staring at a large Victorian-style home.

A lot like this one.

I know I'm looking at Danny's house and suddenly, he's beside me, outside. I remember him pointing out the structure, but my eye wanders to the side of the house, where there's a side entrance. For some reason, I think this is a secret entrance for a mistress, and I'm laughing at Danny about it. He's getting slightly aggravated with me because I'm being daft.

I wonder if this house is the same one he was planning on building from this dream?

Train tracks
Jack and I are crossing some train tracks. I look both ways and I see, far off in the distance, the headlights of an oncoming train. For some reason, I think it's a good plan to stop on the tracks to tie my shoes...

Inside Danny's house
Oddly enough, this dream happened a cycle or two after the first one. Very cool, imo!
I'm walking around inside Danny's house, carrying my guitar. We're in the kitchen. Suddenly, I start playing a song. It sounds a lot like the tune on my alarm clock (which does happen to be a slow, rolling, guitar-like thingy). I wake up and realize it is indeed, my alarm ring that I thought I had composed.

Family gathering
I vaguely recall walking to my doctor's office in slightly bad weather. I get there and in the lobby, Mike (my brother) and his GF come in. I hug them hello, and suddenly my parents walk in. I was all like, "Heyyyy, family reunion in a doctor's lobby..."
My dad says something about them not arriving together. I ask my mum how she got here. She said she drove. I got all upset because I left her at the house, she could have drove me

Slept between 1:30am-7:00am

Decided to set my alarm for 6am/WILD attempt. I woke up, and did a quick mental recollection of my dream to see if I would miss anything if I chose not to record notes. Deciding it would be alright, I chose to not record and fall back to sleep. I still fail so much at the conscious bit of falling asleep

However, this morning proved to be one of those epic moments where I was thinking about random things, and my thoughts landed on an old friend and my dream rammed into my head. Not the greatest recall other than I remember this...

Susanna
The audio in my dream was a conversation with an old friend, Susanna. I remember us talking about work. She was relocating, and she was telling me about the new town she was working in.

However the visual was scenery/landscape. She was telling me about her town and I was imagining it from a bird's eye view.

Found out that lucid weaver's alarm rings don't ring if the phone is on silent... : I forgot to turn my phone back on normal, last night

Work fragment
First bit of the dream had to do with food. Then being on the phone with Rachel (boss), and also something regarding Elijah (co-worker).

Weird dream
I remember sleeping. I woke up into the dream. I'm living with my parents, but we are in a house different than my RL one.

[Dr. House]
House approaches my boyfriend and I. "I've found the answer to my problem!" he says.
"He's so cute," I think.
"I'm evicting you!" House says.
"WHAT?!"
"I'm evicting you. That's the answer to my problem," he says, matter of factly.
"You know, we're paid up in full, so you have to give us 30 days notice, at least."
"Sure, whatever," he says.

[Living with the ex]
Somehow, my ex, Joe, learns about my plight. He invites Jack, my mum and myself to live with him in his basement. I don't remember much about this scene, other than him getting the wrong idea about something (like me putting the moves on him?) and me pointing out that I wouldn't be doing that, especially with my boyfriend living with us, too!

[Going out]
I've just woke up again. I find that mum and Jack are going out to Walmart. They were going to leave without me, cos they knew I just woke up and hadn't ate yet. I said I didn't care, if they could wait 5 minutes, I'll get dressed. I didn't want to be left alone with my ex.

[Kinky shop]
I must've gotten left alone anyways, because I next found myself in a very kinky shop. I became barely semi-lucid... I remember thinking to myself, "I don't want to buy anything kinky, because I don't want to journal it!" I found this other bit in the store where they were selling sleep masks. They were supposed to be those ones that are really, really good and completely blacks out the sun, even if you're staring at it. I was holding them in my hands when I woke up.

Slept between 10:00am-2:30pm

Brief fragment involving theatre. I was watching a rehearsal of a musical and they were choreographing the dance moves to the songs.

False awakening, in which I thought to myself, "Better pinch my nose and see if I'm still asleep... *nose pinch* Huh, I can breathe. Means I'm not awake yet... *forced myself awake, nose pinch* That's better... Wait - fucking hell!"
