I wake up with that stupid Korn or Limp Bizket song in my head. The one with the "Dong diggy dong da Dang da Dang Diggy" In my dream I'm the governor of Louisiana in the 1930's and I'm corrupt and evil as all hell. I'm also very popular with poor people and I win. As I threaten and blackmail local lawmakers for the purposes of building a new hospital, I watch my son play old-timey football on black and white plasma screen in my office. My son is quarterback. His team is crushing their opponents.

Sitting in the chair across from me is the leader of the state senate. He is looking defiant and is yelling at me that he will never cowtow to my bullying policies. I am watching the game on TV and barely paying attention to him. He's yelling to get my attention. I reach over to the knob on the Plazma Screen Tv and turn the volume up way high to drown him out. It's the kid rock song. (I looked it up)



I open a drawer on the right side of my desk and pull out a manilla folder. When I show the State Senator the folder he goes silent. In my hand are photographs and as I lay them out on the table one by one, keep my steely gaze on the face of the senator who is first defiant, then shocked, then scared, finally shameful.

I say, "now this looks mighty bad, but I think we can work it out if you are willing to play ball"
