    Night of Friday 4/18/25

    Silverlight:
    I have a false-awakening at the previous house I was renting [1a].
Out of habit I do a nose-RC and
    I become lucid.
I noticed that my vision was dark, so I start trying to stabilize the dream.
I recall that I memorized "EV" as an acronym to help me remember what to do.
From the edge of my memory: Engage. Verbalize. EV.
So, I start rubbing my bare hands and feet against the carpet and walls, saying "I'm rubbing the carpet, this is a dream."
"I'm rubbing the walls, this is a dream."
"I'm rubbing the carpet, this is a dream."
Fortunately for me, my vision comes back. It worked [2].

I go out into the living room and I see my lost passed away Grandma M walking by.
I don't engage with her, but we do make eye-contact. I remark to myself how strange lucid dreaming is.
Stabilization continues, like I'm a weirdo rubbing and chanting.
I start trying to remember what my goals are. I recall that one of them is to "will text into something specific."
So I start looking for text somewhere in the house.
I find an odd clock-like structure on the wall with painted calligraphy words on it instead of numbers.
I look at it, and the words are nonsense to begin with.
I pick a random one, look away, think about the word "ass", wait a moment, and then look back.
It has changed into another nonsense word.
I try the same process again, and this time it works. I see "ass" in fancy light blue calligraphy lettering on the clock [3].
Check. What else should I do? Eating is worth points I think?
I go to the kitchen looking for food. I find the fridge, but there is a couch partially blocking the door. My brother is sitting on the couch.
I force the fridge door open anyway, knocking away the couch [4].
I find a plastic container with some strawberries in it.
I think that maybe it will be cold and hurt my teeth, but I eat it anyway [5].
It tastes like nothing, not even cold. To be fair, I wasn't really focusing on it, so maybe that is why?
    Goals? What were they?
    ...
    I false awaken, but I catch it with a nose-RC. [1b]
    Back to it. EV.
There's a brief scene with some naughtiness in the bedroom and living room, but I will leave out the details.
I proceed back to the living room area, and this time I see my long passed away Grandpa R.
I wave and say hello, and he vaguely acknowledges me, looking up and waving his hand [6].
I have a few more cycles of false awakenings, but I eventually remember that one of my goals is to travel to Silverlight (location mentioned by a DC in another LD).
I remember the fridge from earlier and decide that it will be my doorway.
I think about a forest on the other side of the door and open it.
    No luck.
I try again, and this time it is definitely a fridge inside, but there is a purplish glow at the back.
I decide that, this time, I'm not taking no for an answer.
I run into the fridge, contorting my body to fit. Super cramped.
I push through, forcing a dream transition.
The next thing I know, I'm trapped, feeling claustrophobic, floating in water.
I can see daylight leaking through the gaps in the door hinge.
Fighting for my life, I smash my way out and get on top of the fridge.
Looking around, I'm in a river in a forest clearing during the day. Mission accomplished [7].
There is a medieval looking army camp straight ahead.
I see goblins and humans are in some sort of battle.
I notice that as I look around, there is a symphonic film soundtrack playing in the background.
It evokes a sense of wonder that matches and amplifies what I am feeling perfectly.
I notice on my left, there are some Aztec-looking aged steps going up. The were large, about 8 foot high and 10 foot wide per step.
I fly over there to get a closer look as the daylight begins to fade [8].
The steps are large enough that I need to fly a bit to get over them.
I reach the top and realize this is a defensive-sniper position.
Without speaking, I think about how I imagined that Silverlight should have had white trees.
There is a man there in military gear. Eyes are covered in shadow, facepaint lines under them.
He responds, as if I had spoken, "Maybe it is called Silverlight because the trees light up at night."
The music, which is still playing, swells in response to this statement. It sounds similar to "The Other Promise" from Kingdom Hearts II.
The swell sounds specifically like 0:50 from this video:

As the music swells, the daylight fades completely and all the trees light up as if they have white/yellow Christmas lights on them.
The sight of the lit trees from up above and hearing the music in time with them might be the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced in a lucid dream.
    I wake up.
