      First attempt to SSILD

      Dream 1: Dick Move
I'm in a really nice house, the interior is white with modest gold framed paintings hung on the wall and soft couches. I'm walking down a hallway after running out of toothpaste and being unable to brush my teeth, an Indian friend of mine (not sure who it was) leads me to the left and down a flight of stairs. We end up in his room and he disappears off somewhere, so I head to his bathroom for some reason. A basin is in this room, with a large mirror above it and 4 tubes of toothpaste too, as well as an electric toothbrush (Pretty annoyed when I didn't even try to reality check with the mirror). I use his electric toothbrush without tooth paste to get some gunk out of my mouth, I put it back and it's got food bits in it, then I spit in the sink (I stopped brushing because I realized it was a dick move, but I don't even try to wash it or anything). I take a tube of toothpaste thinking it'd be okay, and then following this I seem to reflect again on just how much of a dick move it is to just use his stuff.

      Dream 2: Another Field Trip
So I seem to have quite a few of these geology field trip based dreams. I'm on a huge cliff overhang that protrudes out over a large forest, I seem to be viewing it from a distance (like I'm flying and looking down on it as I hover over the forest). The area is a renowned rock-climbing region, with curving 'paths' of rivets for climbing down the cliff, there are also various caves distributed as rest points for people climbing down. The goal for our field trip is to climb down this rock wall and look at the geology of the area. I climb down and see a bald man climb into one of the caves, he halls himself over and plops into waist deep water. I follow in suit, but instead of getting into the water I edge along a bit and climb onto a bench-like protrusion. Resting my weary head while my fellow classmates filled the cave, I get the feeling I got bumped and the ruckus they were causing was annoying me (they're extremely loud usually).

      Dream 3: Dream Heroes
I am a traveling wanderer like Ginko from Mushishi and come to a small village in a jungle. The inhabitants don't wear much clothing (tribal looking), I converse with a woman from here for quite a while and ask if they have a shower I can use. She says she's never even seen a shower, who would have guessed. I have a distinct feeling that food and water are scarce around here, and the dream gets hazy for a while. I'm sitting down and talking to a man, a deer runs past in the background and I instantly think that the hunt has begin. I feel like the land beyond is a desert and I can't catch the deer. The dream becomes less hazy, I'm conversing with a man again, he is tan, muscular and twice my size, we converse with him for a while. I have a book in hand about their history concerning heroes, they have about 7-9 I think. The last hero is a woman who accomplished much more than all the previous heroes, I say to the man "Could you tell me a bit about the history of your village?". He complies enthusiastically by using various stabbing motions to illustrate glorious kills on a hunt while telling the story. As he does this, I read a bit of the book again, this time I noticed that the word 'dream' came up, and then 'lucid dream'... The warriors in their history had all their deeds related to dreaming for some reason.

I woke up afterwords and realized that the dreaded dream about lucid dreaming had occurred without becoming lucid

    2. #21 - 'My friends little brother? Seriously, why?' + 'Sail boats and my family'

Dream 1 – My friends little brother? Seriously, why?
I’m perplexed by why this is the second time I’ve had my friends little brother in my dream (I’ve just started looking for dream signs as I’ve recorded about 20-30 dreams). I’m walking down the main road in the valley I live in at night, the intermediate school is to my left and across the road to my right is a party of people sitting in a circle on some chairs, the only lighting being a single hanging light. As I’m walking I meet my friends little brother and the first thing he says is “just can’t stop the blowjobs from coming ha-ha”. I respond saying “Yeah, I got 3 chicks doing that to me, my wife, H, and B”, so this is a weird thing for me to say since I don’t know who H and B are... Anyways, I start talking to him about relationships and the importance of finding a decent girl, he tells me he’s got a girl that doesn’t want to be in a relationship so she can still hook up with other guys as well as him. I proceed to make a speech that went a little something like this:
“If you break it off with her, even if you feel shit for a while, give it a few and months you might meet another girl who will want to be with you and you’ll be able to grow with her. A relationship is a journey. The modern day approach to relationships is a fad; kids think that it’s cool to root lots of people and then plan on ‘settling down’ in their 30s.”
I don’t remember much past this, but I remember that the girl he was hooking up with was actually at the party across the street, she had long brown hair and was holding a beer and laughing to someone’s joke in the conversation in the drinking circle.

Dream 2 – Sail boats and my family
Starting off in a conversation with my close friend M and another person whom I don’t remember, but I’ll refer to as D. My close friend makes a statement about how my dad probably doesn’t know anything about sailing or surfing or swimming for some reason, to the contrary my dad happens to have been sailing most of his life and surfing for the past 10 years. Offended by this statement I say “What?! Dude what the hell, my dad has plenty of experience, he’s been sailing his whole life and surfing for ages! Geeze” I storm off down the road towards the beach in pursuit of proving that my dad does have experience. The area is similar to a beach in my home area, plenty of lush green temperate forest trees and a small beach with a car park looking out over it. The difference here was that there was some kind of children’s party with balloons and parents talking and kids running around, I ignore this and find a sail boat. Ignorant to the fact that sail boats need a sail pole + sail to generally move, I push it into the calm water and move the rudder back and forth to propel forward. I seem to be trying to catch up to a couple of people in a drifting motor boat ahead of me; I think it’s my brother and my dad. At some point I become unable to catch up and instead turn around, my daughter is with my now and I head off to the left where a seaside levee + road are. I lift my daughter up and she climbs up, she grabs some marshmallows (not a clue where they come from) and says “momo” (which is how she pronounces marshmallows). At this point a pretentious upper-class woman has a go at me, the road we’re on is her driveway and she doesn’t want us to be there. It seems like it’s her daughter’s birthday and we’re somehow interfering with it, I dismiss her with and laugh at her with my daughter, we seem amused by her high-strung voice.

    3. Creepy Dream

Dream 1: (Very short and uninspiring so there isn't a title)
There were a bunch of people inside a room and they seemed to have been gender swapped.
Super hazy recall on this dream.

      Dream 2: Creepy House
Oddly enough, I had a lot of dream control/influence on the direction of plot in this dream. I walked towards a yellow, block-like 2 story school building that had stairs up the side of it, I went up the stairs and walked inside with the intent to find something. Turning down a corridor and making my way further into the building, I felt that things were kind of 'off', a certain tone of suspense and tension was in the air. I turn down the corner and continue onwards, coming to a door with a cross-hatched patterned window at the top. Through the window I saw an Asian girl staring at me from the far side of the room. I instantly know that she is evil, she is the grudge-incarnate and I begrudgingly decide to kill her once and for all (I hate the grudge, scariest thing ever). For some reason I had the distinct feeling that there were no consequences, that she couldn't actually hurt me, but I didn't question it. I have a samurai sword in my hand now, opening the door I charge at her and stab her in the neck and face, she dissipates in front of me (I had a feeling that she couldn't die, but instead dismissed it and as I seemingly assert my non-lucid control over the dream, making her stay dead). I realize to the left at the back of the room is another Asian girl, studying hard. She had an eery appearance that was somehow attractive. She started scorning me for some reason as I decided to leave.

I had left the building at some point, and decided to go back in again after knowing that the evil grudge was vanquished. This time I ended up on the viewing side of an interrogation room, I had the intent of interviewing people for evil inside of them for some unknown reason... The sense of looming horror was in the air. Inside the interrogation room was a simple wooden chair, this part gets hazy as I dismiss a few people for being evil, until a woman shows up. She is inside the viewing room with me, leaning against the wall next to the viewing window, beckoning me. I felt that she wasn't evil, that she had no demons inside of her. I come closer and we talked face to face, but I noticed the viewing room flicker in and out of complete darkness... I saw a face every time it went dark in that room. The woman and me both look at it, "I think someone is.. watching us" I say. The next time it goes dark, I notice the reflection of the woman, she isn't looking at the glass, she's looking at me, staring at me. I turn to face her and her eyes are bottomless pits, black and empty.

    4. Arena galore... Again

      by , 10-05-2014 at 06:13 AM (The Oneironaut's Odyssey)
      Black: Non-dream
      Blue: Non-lucid

Note: I think these arena styled dreams I have are probably one of my dream signs, they seem to happen A LOT.
      Dream 1: Game Arena (7:20am)
In the typical RPG style of killing monsters and collecting experience, I traverse a night-time landscape in a sort of arena-like battlefield in 3rd person. It feels like a game, my character is a shadow alien (similar to Aliens vs. Predators) that I equip with powerful weapons (unsure what they were), I storm the field and reap kill after kill, slaughtering these flying gargoyles practically as they spawn in the sky. My weapon of choice seems to be homing electric energy balls that I shoot from hands, there’s a charge bar, the longer I charge the energy for, the more damage it does – I recall figuring this out just before I woke up. It seems that the more I kill, the stronger I get, and I’m killing these creatures faster than anyone else in the game. While killing these things is obvious, the main objective isn’t. It felt like the character had a perk skill tree that I had optimized in typical munchkin style to ‘break the game’. The skills that I had invested in were conjuring, so I could conjure weapons of various kinds and infuse them with elemental prowess, like my electric powers.

      Dream 2: Gladiator Arena (9:20am)
This dream had a 1st person perspective, I prefer these ones, yet I was in another arena-style dream for the second time in one night. The area was a well-lit giant tent on a lawn (like a circus tent, but the fabric was white) and in the centre of this tent was a metal dome held up by 4 poles beneath it, it was probably 3 metres high and you could run beneath it. I recall that the death-match started on top of this large dome, but people were quickly eliminated or ran to a better vantage point. Everyone had weapons, but no one was allowed a ranged weapon, and the most powerful weapon was owned by none other than Kim Jong Un himself, he was using a giant pogo stick that had a scythe on it. He nearly got me at one point but I managed to psych him out by leaping and grabbing the rim of the dome, he thought I was going to climb up. He pogo bounced his way on top of the dome and I let go and ran beneath it. Woot!
So the dream feels like it progressed a bit at this point, leaping ahead to a later point in the death match (I had a feeling the match was almost over). I walk around looking for more opponents, and stumble on Kim Jong Un, except he’s been eliminated and he’s on some stairs to the exit, crying hard. He converses with me and tells me how he ended up losing; he’s very upset by this... So I convince the sobbing dictator to give me his pogo stick, he complies but just as I’m leaving I see he didn’t give the scythe-like handlebar, sneaky bozo. I get it off him and as soon as I walk out from where he was crying, I get spotted by a woman on stilts who transform her weapons into wings and swoops down towards me. Battle ensues, and I wake up. I think I might have lost on account of not knowing how to use a pogo stick.
