    1. Losing Lucidity

      by , 04-02-2017 at 05:52 PM
Got into a lucid dream using the usual method and began walking around my neighborhood. I figured I would be there for a while since the induction was so nice. Somewhere along the way the dream collapsed and I lost lucidity. So later on I had a dream about Russia offering to evacuate Americans off-world. Yep, Russia was offering to evacuate American off the planet. The shift was beige and had two large spheres. One on the top, one under the belly of the ship. Conspiracy theorist, Alex Jones, was one of the ones on board. I stayed back with my family and was trying to figure out a way to secure my house from invaders because y'know, no police; nobody to stop looters and rapists.

I saw the ship flying through the sky over my neighborhood.

Gotta figure out a way to stop losing lucidity.

    2. Mindfulness

      by , 03-05-2017 at 06:24 PM
Heck yeah. Did a mindfulness meditation and got a short lucid dream. Woke up and tried to get back into the dream. Had vivid non-lucid dreams afterwards about playing bass guitar and hanging out at a mansion with Drake. Saw some old friends as we rode buses around the city. Tried to work on my car. Was also hanging out with some co-workers.

    3. Back to the basics 2

      by , 02-01-2017 at 05:01 PM
Stay in a half-lotus position and did 6 cycles of SSILD which totalled 30 minutes. Went to sleep and had a lucid dream. Couldn't find anything to do other than roam my neighborhood so I lost lucidity like always and had a vivid dream about chris brown, his car and other american celebrities.

    4. Semi-Lucid

      by , 11-03-2016 at 05:15 PM
Felt the transition but tried to visualize my bed room so I get the WILD going but no dice. I wasn't firm in my awareness. It is probably just me, but SSILD is getting tedious. My problem is that I like to retreat into the buzz of thoughts inside my head to fall asleep quick but this also distracts me from doing the cycles. When I fight the thoughts to clear my mind, it keep me awake and I lose sleep. Very demotivating for lucid dreaming.

    5. Rainbow Afro

      by , 08-21-2016 at 05:48 PM
Met a man who was wearing a suit and a rainbow afro. Was a vivid dream but no lucid because I was a bit lax and impatient with clearing my mind. Nor was I fully relaxed as I should have been.

Will try again during the next nap.
    6. SSILD is Before Anything Else

      by , 08-15-2016 at 03:16 PM
Had two LDs this morning. All from the SSILD variation which I shall explain below plus a realization.

The lucid dreams were standard; I was in my neighborhood. The first lucid dream had me exiting a vehicle in my driveway and trying to go down my block. The second was me actually walking down my block during the evening time and into a house.

I spoke to a woman behind a glass window like I was in a office or something. I remember now, I was searching for a woman named 'Jazmyne Adams' and the office was a car directory or something. I wanted the secretary to do a reverse search on the name and find out information such as the where she lived, what car she drove, etc. She gave me something to sign and that was all that I remember.

I am always on the hunt for dream characters.

There was also another standard dream of me at school, at the end of the year. It is kind of ironic because right now it is the end of summer vacation - more or less - here in my part of Texas. School starts a week from today; on the day of my birthday. Anyway, I was in the principal's office collecting a trophy from an award ceremony that I missed.

    7. Full-tilt

Was in the building where the 7th floor was crumbling and the elevators were barely working. However, I was more preoccupied with my laptop which had several versions of linux on it for some reason.

    8. MILD temper

      by , 08-07-2016 at 05:28 PM
Had the perfect WBTB. I was sleepy, Hynagogic images and sounds were everywhere...all I needed was the right method. I chose MILD because Stephen LaBerge makes it sound like the holy grail of lucid dreaming in his book.

Did it, but did not get lucid. Felt like I wasted a huge opportunity for nice and long lucid dream. I dreamt about school non-lucidly.

      I hate wasting my time.

    9. Recurring Dream Signs, Trance vs Mindfulness .

      by , 08-04-2016 at 09:42 PM
Get a hot streak of lucidity > Have confidence > Go on a dry spell > Repeat

What is so irritating about lucid dreaming it that it isn't a linear progression like fitness or a mastery of any other skill. The success rate is so random and inconsistent that it feels like I am wasting my time. At this point, I should be a master of lucid dreaming because I have been writing, thinking and acting on it for about 7 years now. Anyway, I had a dream about my old private school; a place that I had not been to in over 10 years yet it has been a recurring dream scene.

It was the end of the school year, we were finishing up taking final exams and I thinking about how I was bored and wish I had brought my laptop - the one I am typing on right now.

If I can understand the root cause of why dreams are incubated and successfully control that root, lucid dreaming should be a piece of cake. What is it, memories? Expectations? Things which I have been mindlessly engaged in? Or how about things that I have been mindfully engaged in like a show that has resonated with me? Both the latter and the former have occurred inside my dreams.

Right now? I am actively engaged in writing this journal entry. So much so, I was not aware of the fellow opening a bag of chips behind me until I started paying attention. My thoughts are reading these words aloud so my mind's hearing is also engaged in this.

Instead of a mindless repetition, why don't I give a mental speech about lucid dreaming inside my head as I fall asleep instead of a mantra. Sure that is a billion different words more than a simple mantra repeated indefinitely, but as long as a the main idea of "Have a lucid dream" is a recurring, I should have no problem smuggling that idea into the dream world.

      Mantras have never worked.

Maybe I need to slow it down too; give my mind time be passively engaged as to let me fall asleep and seamlessly transition into the dream world.

    10. Dream Characters Messing With Me.

      by , 07-30-2016 at 04:06 PM
I think I like to keep my entries short and sweet.

Anyway, I had several vivid dreams this morning and a lucid dream about work. The lucid dream about work featured me doing things that would normally get anyone fired in the United States but I knew I was lucid dreaming so it was okay.

However, the dream-versions of the people who I work with started getting angry in a way which - for a moment - I thought was a bit too realistic and for an instance made me think that I was not dreaming and in fact...about to get myself fired from my job.

After about five seconds, the dream characters began to say...

      "He knows...."

      He knows what?

They were saying to one another that I knew that the entire scenario was a dream but they were pretending like it wasn't one so scare me. After having another confirmation that it was a dream, I carried on acting out the lucid dream.

So far, I have had like...three lucid dreams in a week? My goal is to have a lucid dream every single day.

If I can achieve that, I think it is safe to say at that point I am a natural lucid dreamer and thus I will share techniques with this board and Reddit.

Had a lucid dream last night through MILD method I did without any WBTB.

I was in the dream, recognized I am dreaming and said to myself: "Yeah, I am going to mark this down as a lucid dream."

I said it because sometimes I forget that I had a lucid dream. Furthermore, I lost lucidity. Anyway, I saw Upon a burning body play a new song called, "Stand Your Dreams" but that's neither here nor there.

MILD from this moment onward and hopefully I will be able to provide some tips on how to MILD effectively. The goal is to lucid dream at least 4 nights a week.
