Your LDs will get longer with more experience. You can also read up on some stabilization techniqes, that will help you stabilize and make them longer.

Vision will get better when you stabilize and engage yourself inside the LD. You can also try yelling "clarity now", "focus now". Moving - even while asleep, it's hard to fly, because we know there is gravity.
