what dream control did you learn from non- lucids?

recently i learned dream control from non-lucid dreams, such as walking into a movie theater can change the dream scene, the showers tend to have hot chicks in them, and if i log onto my computer, turn on a game, and under "realm" i type in a girls name, i end up next to that girl. so, have you guys learned some cool tricks from your non-lucids?

If you recognize it is a dream, then it IS a lucid dream. Lucid dream means you know you are dreaming...The events you describe seem like lucid ones to me...

However, in answer to your question...I learned how to fly in my nonlucid dream. I dreamt I was flying and felt the wind in my face and what the sensation felt like all together. Now, I only realized I was dreaming when I woke up from the dream.

Control my body? Thats the only thing, and nothing beyond that of a normal human. Though in lucids I do basically the same, with magic and energy... so yeah <.<

I remember as a kid I had a dream where some guy with a crystal ball and turban taught me how to teleport. He told me to close my eyes and visualize what I would see when I opened my eyes after teleporting. I then remembered how to do that from my other dream in another dream, but I wasn't really lucid. I haven't had many lucids so I haven't tried teleporting yet.

In a couple non-lucids, I was using a ps2 controller to control DCs movements. I tried it out in a LD later on and was successful.

Was controlling them anything like controlling the guy in QWOP? Only kidding, sounds like fun...

As for me, ummm, I learnt extra-spacial awareness in a non lucid. Most of my dreams now I don't actually "see", but I exist in a point in the environment and am aware of the whole environment. It is hard to stay lucid when you have a 360 degree field of awareness, and oddly enough, harder to focus then just be general... But it has advantages, I am rarely snuck on in dreams nowadays, only happens when I randomly teleport (as occurs in a recurring nightmare) or a being materialises behind me.

The best thing I learned from my non-lucid dreams is that doors are awesome. What's behind them is always what you expect to be behind them.

I once had a non-lucid nightmare where I was in a house and just knew there was someone else and that this person was evil. Just before a door opened I got lucid and took the opportunity, called out the name of a friend of mine and asked if it was her while the door was opening. That's when the nightmare turned into a lucid, uhm, love dream

Doors are awesome in general. If I expect some special person to wait behind the door, that person is there. If I expect to enter Mordor through a door, there will be Mordor behind that door. It only fails if I want something to be there, but am too insecure and not confident enough. Wanting something to be there isn't enough, I need to really expect it to happen.
This is why I love hallways with a lot of doors. If one door doesn't keep at hand what I want it to (because I was too insecure and only wanted, but didn't expect it) I can just go to the next one.

After a day of imagining my super powers when I was a kid, I had a dream about them. I wasn't lucid but I could stop time, fly around, and shoot icicles everywhere. Fun stuff.

      Krake I totally agree.

I learned that if I snap my fingers, I can make things appear out of nowhere. Pretty cool.

I learned how to fly without making swimming motions in a non lucid. IN the non lucid i was flying like a dragon ball z character to get away from a monster. Ever since that dream i can fly without moving my body.

Wishes. I've only had one lucid, and that was before DV, but I used a technique that i got from an earlier non lucid. Basically I look in my backyard (or a forest) for Legend of Zelda like fairies. If I catch one I got a wish. In the lucid I tried this, and it worked!
