I had a similar experience a few nights ago. Usually if I decide to start flying while inside, I just melt through the roof. I usually close my eyes before I do this. This time I wanted to know what melting through the roof looked like. When my eyes were open I couldn't go through it, the roof would just bend like rubber. I only tried a couple of times, though, since I didn't want to get distracted from a goal I was trying to achieve.

I had my first Lucid Dream in a month or so last night and I thought to try a couple of these.

The fire trick helped a lot. I tried a fireball, and it was only half there and ethereal. On my second try I rubbed my hands together and visualized it a little more and voila! Fireball- with explosive impact too!

Interestingly enough, I summoned a massive thunderbolt from the heavens with little to no effort, and on the first try. I looked up at the clouds and and made a "pulling down" gesture with my hands and the clouds swirled and a bolt of lightning shot down.

What's the best way to throw fireballs again? I tried mimicking Skyrim and how you can throw fireballs in that, since I played it recently, but it didn't work.

me too, I just don't like the thought of depending on wands. Hands are just so much better, it gives me more of a sense of control and it makes me feel more powerful and AWESOME.

I would think the best way was to close your hands and feel the heat in between your hands and visualize the fireball, then open your hands and use one hand to hold the fireball and then launch it at a target, but i'm no expert I just love dream magic, can you tell me how it works out for you.

I always seem to try to summon and throw it really fast too, maybe that's my problem?

      Power merging sounds great!

      Water+Fire=Boiling water
      Water+Earth=Mudslide
      Water+Air=Typhoon
      Fire+Earth=Lava
      Fire+Air=Inferno
      Earth+Air=Hurricane

      ......

Sometimes, I do magic with "powerfluid". Basically, it's those bags they hold blood in at hospitals, except filled with powerfluid, which tastes like koolaid and temporarily gives you powers. It comes in different colors, each one does something different. When you drink one, the view shifts into third person, and you see your body become clear, and an organ light up a certain color. Then it goes back into first person, and you have a power for a couple seconds. For example, red makes your stomach glow red and lets you breathe fire, blue lights up your lungs and you shoot electricity from your fingertips, etc. I use powerfluid when I want to limit my power a little, usually so that I can have a fair fight with someone else.

      What about gravity?

If you've ever watched Darker than Black or played Kingdom Hearts...then you should have an idea of what I'm talking about.

"Gravity (グラビデ Gurabide?), Gravira (グラビラ Gurabira?), and Graviga (グラビガ Gurabiga?) are spells which appear in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix.
They utilize the "power of the stars", and are associated with the Lucid material. Gravity spells form a miniature event-horizon that crushes their target, reducing their HP by a set fraction and rendering them temporarily defenseless to further attacks."

One thing to note when trying to achieve something in a dream is that if you fail, is that you keep trying until you achieve it even if you are using the same method.
