Thread: Somnimancy-A guide to magic/powers in dreams

Hello all, this is KwikDraw13, and I've noticed lots of the questions on the Dream Control. There is one recent thread about Magic, but.... Do you really want to memorize all that? There probably has been multiple threads like this, but when I looked for Magic powers, they where all formatted as a question... So here goes nothing, this will be long so I will release it in parts, starting with...
Getting Started
First thing to do, when you realize you are dreaming, just stay put. Do nothing for about a minute, and just take everything in. Then walk around, and focus on the detail, trying to expand upon everything, from the detail of the visuals to the vividness of smells to realistic temperature. For visuals, which is one of the toughest, just stare at something, and try to make out all the small details in it. A sandy beach is the best for this.
Once you've done this, you are ready to begin using powers.

Elemental Powers
Fire
Feel your hands, rub them together, and feel the temperature. As you rub, raise the temperature, and envision the flame in your hands. Once it's there, pull the ends and stretch the flame to make it bigger. From here, warp it to fit your cause.

Water
This one is really tricky unless you have a source of water. The best way to do it (With a water source) is to put your hand in the water and drag it out slowly, and envision in following your hand, like a streamer of some sort. One this is done and you have a stream of water, try letting go of it. This should cause it to start floating. From here, warp it and form it to a necessary state.
(Freezing/Heating Water)
This is done much like fire. Put your hand in the water, spend some time to feel the temperature, and start heating/cooling the water. Once the temperature feels cold or hot enough, the water should become ice or steam accordingly.

Earth
Earth is a really impractical one. To do this, requires much, much more discipline in the other elements. You must feel the earth in your dream as a part of you, as if it is as much of you as your arm or leg. Then move it as you would a limb. Again, this sounds a lot simpler, but It is really hard.

Air
Air is a fun one. Once you've stabilized your dream, just do something to move the air. Two good ones are blowing really hard and grabbing a fan and, well, fanning.

Electricity
Picture the electricity in your shoulders, point your hands toward your target, and release, like a spasm.

Healing
For me, it was the same as fire, but picture a big white light in your hand. Put it wherever you need to, and imagine that it is healing.
