      Talking Dreaming Cheat Codes!

NOTE: This is just an idea, I'd be glad if you were to help me improve it
So I got a nifty little idea the other day!
What if controlling your dream would be as easy as entering a cheat code?
I was originally going to make this idea into my signature but I thought it would be better if the community would help! Please tell me if this is a good idea or not, and feel free to add on to this!

Main idea: Inserting specific numbers(cheat codes) into a device (microwaves, caluclators, cell phones, ect.) would give you the desired effect.

      Spoiler for Real Codes :D:

      [example] Number Codes:
      No Gravity / Fly = 619
      Teleport to a random location = 737
      Invisibility = 459
      Change to daylight = 482
      Change to nighttime = 819

These are just a few for now. I am wondering if anybody has any suggestions on how to remember the codes? Maybe insert a pattern into them so we can find out what numbers to press in a dream if we forget?

      Post suggestions/feedback!

      Ideas:

It's a very cool idea. I bet if you believed that the numbers will do that, it will happen. Maybe you could some for certain aspects of stabilization as well.

I would suggest using actual words instead of random, or even patterned, numbers, it would be much easier to remember. You could use 'noclip' or 'fly' to fly, and 'godmode' or 'invincibility' for invincibility. Maybe you have to enter in a numerical code to 'activate' the 'cheat engine' in your subconscious, then you could type any command and it would work.

It would work great for people who play a lot of games (and cheat :p).

Why make it complicated and assign a number to each command? It would be easier just to type in "fly" when you want to fly. If you do want to use numbers, just reach in your pocket in the dream and expect to find a guide to all the cheats :p.

Thats a really cool idea man. If it were me, like mentioned above, i would never remember random numbers. The best way i think i could do that in a dream would be to summon a phonebox. Type out the command i wanted on the numberpad (obv using the letter alternatives) and have an operator on the other end of the line say "code confirmed" or something. Kind of like the matrix. I'm gonna try it out

Yeah numbers don't sound a great way to go, especially since most technology doesn't work as desired in dreams, for most people.

      Change to daylight = 482
      Change to nighttime = 819

How did you come up with these random codes and expect to remember them lol, I couldnt even remember my phone number let alone a long list of 3 digit codes.

You could just say, "Dream, change to daylight" lol

I love the idea, and if you think about it lucid dreams are a lot like video games. There are "glitches" in the world, you can be in control of someone else and like you say you could use cheat codes.

They were randomly generated, I just threw a few together to see if people had any ways to remember them such as patterns. It wasn't intended for the whole list to be memorized, just a few that fit your needs and see what they do

      Telephone booths as portals, brilliant.

Everytime I watch the Matrix it seems to get more rich in lucid dreaming imagery.

You could use some sort of watch or bracelet to enter the codes. But I find it really hard to remember things once I'm in a dream.

When I manage to become lucid enough to attempt control I just cast my desired effects as spells. But then, I have a strong affinity for fantasy stories, much more so than for games.
