In a non-lucid dream that I had today before jumping off a cliff I did two RCs, in the first I pinched my nose and I could not breathe and just to be sure I counted my finger and there was five. I was convinced that it wasnt a dream and didnt jump. |

Yep, it is possible and I believe it'll happen more than once to everyone. It kinda depends on your attitude if you make your RC hastly and don't really think about what a RC means then it can end up failing. The key here is that you should expect to be in a dream (also pay attention to your surroundings) and expect the desired outcome (ie breathing through your plugged nose). It can fail nevertheless, but you lower the potential of failing. |

Yes, this happens to me frequently. When you feel the need to RC, this itself is kind of proof that you are dreaming. I will admit there are some weird occasions in WL that require a RC. But if you have the doubt, chances are that you are dreaming, keep RCing until you're convinced. |

This has happened to me with the nose check, hand check, and environment check. I tried plugging my nose and breathing through once when I was 100% sure I was dreaming. I tried it 3 times in a row, but I still couldn't breathe through. I think it didn't work because I had made it too much of a habit in the real world. Now I'm experimenting with a different reality check that will hopefully give me a higher success rate. |

Previously known as Lucidis.
recently i did did a nose plug RC and it worked. i could breathe even though my nose was plugged except i didnt become lucid. I just got all excited that the RC worked and then my dream went on |

I tried the nose plug RC in a dream once, it failed and I lost lucidity. RC's in a dream actually never work for me, I usually just have an "aha!" moment or have lucidity hit me out of nowhere. Instead of RC's, I cultivate awareness throughout the day. |
