Can you summon objects? If so, have you tried making a phone appear and calling your characters? Or what about asking another DC where your characters are? |

I'm a writer and over three years of online-roleplay, I've created two incredible characters and I would REALLY love to meet them and speak with them in my dreams. That would be beyond incredible. So, does anybody know how to make a DC appear in your dream? I've tried many times in different ways. Even last night I was incredibly lucid and started calling my main character's name (Lunas), but nobody came. I've tried calling them, I've tried saying they'll be there when I turn around. Nothing is working! I need ideas! |

you could try something sci-fi like living flesh from Doctor who. |

Dreams are like stars...you may never touch them, but if you follow them they will lead you to your destiny.”
Try incubating before dreaming even, then in a dream think of what you were trying to incubate. I have summoned 2 famous characters in my dreams before, it's great. My only advice is to think of what you want to appear in dreams. |

From my readings, you could open a door and imagine them standing in the next room. You can also try turning around and imagining them there. |
|
Hold your hand behind your back and imagine the character holding your hand as you pull them to face you. It prevents the environment from changing (closing your eyes, walking through door) and its easy. |

@ fennecgirl: I like the ask a DC idea. I'm going to try that. Yes, I can summon objects by using expectation techniques (pulling money out of my pocket, turning around excepting an IHOP to be behind me- all successful). I've also managed to make dragons fall down from the sky and ride atop them. My favorite creature to ride is an Ikran from avatar. I named my Ikran Soei (Soh-WAY). By the way, I LOVE fennec foxes!! I want to get one when I move out |

Pretend you're the boss of another dream character and yell at them until they go and get the two characters for you. Threaten to fire the dream character if he doesn't do this. xD! Just be creative and confident! Good luck! |

@Mancon: LOL OMG I LOVE THAT. I legit just lol'd. That's what I call creative! But wait... oftentimes the DC's are my parents or my brother. Lol. Then what? |

Just stay focused on your goal, and don't expect them to appear right away. Doesn't really matter what you try, as long as you stay focused and don't give up. Just because it doesn't work right away doesn't mean you've failed. You only fail when you stop trying. |

@The Cusp: ... I just want to say you're actually the reason I joined Dream Views. For years I've read your "The Nature of Dreams" post over and over and concluded you to be a genius. If not for you, I'd never have the extend of understanding of my dreams and the basics of controlling them. So, thank you very much. You're a freaking genius and I'm honored that you out of all people replied to my thread! Thanks much for the tip, too! |

ive had alot of trouble with trying to find a DC i wanted to meet, but recently i just asked a DC where she was, and he just simply took me to her in seconds, Thats been the best way for me! |

I read a summoning technique a bit ago that sounds great! Expectation. Just say "I expect the sunrise will be soon.", or "Lunas is probably having some starbucks." |
|
I have become quite interested on the layers of lucidity, and I use them to measure how lucid a dream is. For more information on these layers, click here.
Hmmm... I have some experimenting to do! Thanks much guys! |

I just thought of something which I actually should have stated first because like The cusp said focused attention is the most important aspect. In "gateway to inner self" by Robert Waggoner he talks about exploring the dream scene. Most people will focus on trying to make their body reach levitate through some kind of force or medium but the downside of this is that you are limiting yourself by relying on something else, therefore he relies solely on intent. In the dream if he wants to get to point b from a he will focus all his attention on being at point b to which the dream will respond with bringing him there through whatever means. The same principle is applied to summoning anything in the dreamworld, focus all your attention and intent on dc being infront of you and it should happen automatically. |

@dutchraptor: See, last night (this morning, actually) I tried with all confidence to make a sword appear in my hand or on my waist and it didn't work. I kept saying out loud with great confidence, "This is MY DREAM and I have COMPLETE CONTROL over it. A sword WILL appear in my hand NOW." and whatnot... Uhg. |

Instead of them coming to you , you go to them , go somewhere where you would expect them to be . |
|
Instead of just turning around, I have imagined them right in front of me, and then do a full 360. It is easier for me to visualize that way. |
