When we are alone, we most often think to ourselves. In a lucid dream, you are most likely thinking or feeling your commands. |

So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?
I encourage training to be able to use your voice, as it is a skill that takes some practice. However, I almost never use any form of verbal command. The only time I do is if a DC has failed to respond to my mental crafting (knowing they will do such and such) then I use my voice and talk to them out loud. |

Definately!!! try it out sometime it helps alot for example saying "I'am lucid!!!" or "This is a dream" out loud makes the dream stable for me. |

After years of LDing, I still have trouble convincing myself to talk out loud sometimes, because I worry that I will speak out loud in bed, or it just seems so quiet in my dream and I feel awkward breaking the silence. But it definitely helps to ground me in the dream and I become more confident once I start talking. |

I use to have trouble speaking. |

This is a very helpful thread. I have also found, at times, that my voice is either inaudible or distorted in a lucid dream. Most often when I am trying to draw a DC's attention to the dream we are in, or ask a DC why they are in my dream. Thank you, WhiteWind, for the humming tactic! |
