When and how did you find out about lucid dreaming?
As a child I had a really nasty recurring nightmare. I would wake up terrified and sweating. For self-defense, I learned to recognize that I was dreaming and developed a technique to wake myself before the bad guy could get me. Not exactly lucid, but similar.

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams?
      Still learning.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet?
I would like to improve DILD and learn WILD.

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming?
Spiritual goals. Dreaming is a process of discovery.

One additional thing I would like to do is write a really useful LD program, possibly for the Zeo Dream Coach. That's in the planning stages now: http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/has-an...ed-zeo-101025/ It will be open source and free to DreamView members.

Any other hobbies that hold your interest?
I also like to jog, cook, enjoy all kinds of music and draw and paint.

When and how did you find out about lucid dreaming?
A couple of years back, a friend mentioned a woman he knows that has a sleeping disorder that cause her to need 16+ hours of sleep per day. As a consequence she took up LD. I had my first from reading about the phenomenon on dreamviews, then got off it till now. Although Inception creates a false inception (see what I did there ) on lucid dreaming, it still rekindled my interest.

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams?
Not that familiar other than what I have read in tutorials.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet?
      WILD, DILD

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming?
Shared dreaming (and thereby induce a ”proof” of baseline human telepathic abilities, now you may laugh! ^^)

Any other hobbies that hold your interest?
Not really, living life is a hobby i suppose, spend a lot of time reflecting on my actions and how I live and treat people.

In theory, pretty much, in practice I’m just a noob.

To induce LD’s in general. As of now, all my LD’s have been spontaneous.

When and how did you find out about lucid dreaming?
I was around 10-11 years old and often had nightmares. When I realized that they were indeed dreams, I could wake up at will to exit the dream and stop the fear. One time I was unable to 'exit' the dream because of a 'spell' this monster had put on me. So, knowing it was a dream, I began controlling it. For about two years I had lucid dreams quite often.

Now, 10 years later, I have yet to have a lucid dream. I am anxious to get back into it, as it's very liberating.

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams?
      Very familiar.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet?
All techniques, most importantly DILD and MILD because it increases awareness in my waking life and allows me to dream without interrupting my sleep schedule.

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming?
Have lucid's every night so I can increase my productivity by 2 hours every day (assuming I can consciously lucid dream for 2 hours every night).

Any other hobbies that hold your interest?
      Music, programming, and anything/everything outdoors.

When and how did you find out about lucid dreaming?
I used to(and still do quite a bit) make attempts to tap into my creative side, because despite any significant works, I have always wanted to be somewhat of an artist. So, constantly having creative, interesting dreams really pushed me to build off the stories my mind provided. From then on, I was constantly looking for any symbolism (and thus analyzing) my dreams to make more effective themes for the stories I made. Like with all things, I would be off and on, and lack any motivation, despite my discipline and goal to find something---I mean, anything to make me feel I had some talent I can excel at.

Suffering from unusual "seasonal" insomnia made my thirst for dreams even stronger, so I always looked into not just how I could remember my dream, but also how I could make them longer and more vivid. I searched for ways to have the complete experience a dream could offer. All the while, even though I never noticed, the dreams I did have were telling stories that presented a message for me---a message that expressed my doubt that I would never have a clear understanding of the "truth". My anxiousness was driving my brain to smush, and I figured that the only "truth" that could satisfy me is...well, whatever I want that "truth" to be. So, my research on what dreams can be when seeking that pure artistic aspect of me, and my spiritual quest to figure out what beliefs and morals are at the roots of my being that could make me happiest, has led me to the subject of lucid dreaming.

      Sorry for the long answer.

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams?
I can be a slow learner. Let's just say I'm that member who is constantly yelling out "QUESTION!" in the chats.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet?
I'm greedy, so I want to master them all.

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming?
I think my answer to how I found out about lucid dreaming answers this question too. I want to have the experience of unleashing every ounce of creative juice in my body, and maybe have a bit more potential to find a talent. I mean, maybe I won't excel at this, but it might lead to other things. Also, to learn a little more about myself; obviously it takes more than just dreaming, but I think this will be an cool method to try along the way. I mean, it does interest me, after all!

Any other hobbies that hold your interest?
Nothing that holds my interest, sadly. I did paint for a while. I do have a small interest in writing, but that comes and goes. There isn't a whole lot (barely anything, actually) that really keeps me fascinated and willing to learn more. I really hope lucid dreaming isn't something that just fades away. My interest in it has been building up for years, so I hope realizing this aspiration doesn't defeat the purpose of having the aspiration in the first place.

I kind of randomly found some information on it in Wikibooks a couple of years ago, but didn't really act on it. A friend of mine who is able to sporadically LD got me back into it about a month ago. He sent me some info on how to WILD and I have been really interested ever since.

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams?
I feel pretty comfortable with the basics (I would seem knowledgable to someone with no idea what LDing is).

Since I have had 0 LDs I would have to say anything that works.
