      Stand up comedians?

      The old thread I noticed hadn't been posted in for four years so I asked in the chat if it would be better to make a new one.

      Anyway, I have a huge list although unfortunately most of my favorite comedians are dead.

      Among them; Sam Kinison, Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Mitch Hedberg, and Johnny Carson (even though he was more of a talk show host as opposed to a comedian, he was very quick witted).

      As for those who I like now; Jim Norton, Jim Jeffries, Bill Maher, Bill Burr, Lewis Black, Louis CK, Amy Schumer, and Jackie the Jokeman Martling.

      I always make it a task of mine to see as many comedians as I can with Bill Maher being the latest (as I'm a fan of his HBO show).

      So who are your favorites but more importantly, who have you seen live either at theaters or in clubs?

      I don't normally find American comedians funny but Louis CK has cracked me up a few times on YouTube.

      Honestly the only new comedians I've seen that pulled a laugh out of me were Demetri Martin, Jim Gaffigan, George Carlin, and Ron Riggle.

      I'm not even sure why I found Ron Riggle funny. He doesn't even do stand-up regarding anything I can relate to. But for some reason he still makes me laugh. (Excuse my rather plebian taste in comedians. I know most of these guys are rather "mainstream".)

      I'm not sure Stephen Lynch counts? He's more a singing stand-up comedian. Performs songs with an acoustic on a stool infront of an audience. They're basically just musical stand-up comedy, anyway.
