Sorry for dp. I really did try to edit true grit so I wouldn't have to.
Resident Evil: Afterlife [Horrible! I mean absolute garbage.] *Alice is still fine as hell though.
The American [Slow but pretty good IMO] It's not the best written plot, but it's pretty well grounded in reality.

I just have to say this...how the hell can you rate VDT better than LWW?

They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.

We got The Core over here, too (were you watching BBC?).

To be honest I hate that movie. So many irritating stereotypes.

I can't tell you in any detailed way because LWW made no. impression. whatsoever. It was a lukewarm cup of tea of a film. Prince Caspian was at least enjoyable, and I would say the same for VDT, though less so. None of them rate very high among fantasy films in general, but LWW really had me scratching my head that more of these movies ever got made.

EDIT: Oh, and I watched Cargo, a Swiss sci-fi film, based on a few recommendations scattered around the innerwebs--big meh. The plot and effects were okay, but the acting was just-this-side-of-porn bad. It's maybe still worth a watch if you like the whole space-thriller / corporate dystopia shtick and can deal with subtitles (or speak German).

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Watched the new Nick Cage movie, Season of the Witch last night.
I don't know what I was thinking, he's a horrible actor anyways. I sat in the theatre half asleep listening to music after the first quarter. So bad.

      Hachiko - a dog's story

So sad and sweet at the same time
I now get the full meaning of bittersweet.. Great movie..

Also, it's based on a true story, which makes it even more emotional to watch O_o

Machete--that was pretty sweet on a lot of levels. My friend and I were constantly laughing our asses off at how over-the-top it was, but definitely felt like we were laughing with the movie, not at it. It was simultaneously a straight-up, balls-out action movie and satire of same.

Black Swan-about a ballerina who wants to be the swan queen in an upcoming show and obsesses over it to the point where she starts going crazy.

I thought it was pretty good, but with some really strange and confusing scenes. I would recommend it if you like watching Psychological Thrillers.

Inception-Great movie, but I couldn't stop thinking of how if it was actually a lucid dream they could have gotten around all the obstacles so easily. Still an all around phenominal movie, great writing, great acting and great visuals.
157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

Just watched 127 Hours and I have to say it was really intense, James Franco takes you on a serious ride. It's how I Am Legend should have been, the way Franco carried the movie.
His acting was nuanced and phenomenal. The way it was cut together, especially towards the end where he starts to go a bit crazy was really well done. Beautiful landscape shots, great soundtrack. The only thing I didn't like was his ex-girlfriend... I think paired with another actor she could have been much better, but his performance was too powerful and her parts just felt out of place by comparison.
      I'd give it between an 8.5/10 to a 9/10

And last night I watched Antichrist by Lars von Trier - 9.5/10

Visually beautiful, the pacing was wonderful, the music, the mood, the acting. Everything about it was simply brilliant. And to top it off it was literally the scariest movie I've ever seen.
Lars von Trier is the best filmmaker alive. There are, for all intents and purposes only 2 actors in the entire movie, many have tried to make that work, but only one other film has pulled that off in my opinion(Sleuth 1972, Sir Laurence Olivier and Sir Michael Caine). Also the opening and closing sequences are without a doubt some of the best bits of film artistry I've ever seen and honestly killed some of my desire for film making because I know I'd never be able to make something so beautiful and poignant.

I saw the newer Robinhood movie. It was pretty good and had a lot of action in it. But it was really long and it is the kind of movie that you have to pay attention to or you won't understand what is going on.

Body of Lies - meh, it was alright. I think I was expecting more because DiCaprio was in it. 5/10
Memento - very good, all the way around! 9.5/10
Incredible Hulk 2008 - in my opinion it was as good as, or better than, Iron Man. 8.5/10
