No comment, it just can't hold up to the original at all. I really didn't like it (and Shia Lebouf). =/

Pirates of the Caribbean 4. It was so-so, not as good as the first ones, but not that bad. It seems like they are just trying to come up with stuff to keep the series going. I think I just don't enjoy these movies anymore because I'm getting older.. because when the first 2 pirates movies came out I was obsessed with them.
I dream a lot, need not be asleep.

Thor 3D- 3.5 out of 5. Probably would have been better or worse if I read the comics, it was an entertaining movie, but I wish the action in the end of the movie was as good as the stuff that went on in the beginning. Also Natalie Portman.....shuwing!

Priest 3D- 2 out of 5. The action sequences weren't that mind blowing, and they had too much filler in the movie with the scenes where they were going from point A to point B. I think a lot of that could have been used to actually give the story more depth. The introduction animation was pretty rad though. As low as a score I gave it, I hope they can make a sequel so they can just improve on things. Oh yeah....the 3-D effects were hardly noticeable. Also kudos for making vampires ugly and scary again.

      And hi DV.

I agree, it was a big disappointment. It made me appreciate Charlie Sheen that much more, his cameo was the best part of the movie for me.

Last night I attempted to watch Ip Man 2, but the damn disk froze on me. I only got about halfway through. Based on what i've seen so far, it looks great, maybe not as good as the first one though. The one thing I noticed is that they completely threw realism out the window. There's some pretty obvious wire-work at some parts in the fight, and some of it is just flat out DBZ.

Was feeling lazy and watched Shoot 'Em Up this afternoon--entertaining, ridiculous. As absurdist action movies go, it's no Machete, but it has its moments.

A Very Long Engagement - was great. Great soundtrack, moving story in general but the end really made it amazing.

The Lovely Bones: Absolutely beautiful CGI scenery in the afterlife scenes. Those are what my lucid dreams should be like.... in fact I've set my mind to try to recreate those scenes.

Then again the more disturbing scenes in the movie also majorly creeped me out and I couldn't sleep after watching it :\

3 Idiots: Great movie, very funny and witty, but also addresses with acuity serious issues about education and pressure on students. Not very believable but it's an all around feel good film

Recently watched I am number 4, roommate and some other movie where this dude goes out and snipes all these gang members. I forget the name of it. All good movies though. Oh and also watched some assassin movie where this Asian guy was raised in some fighting community and some woman tries to help him. Forget what its called, but I'm in the mood to watch saving private Ryan because I've been watching WW ll documentaries the last couple days on the military channel. Im a big military guy . Im still deciding if I should join the army, but since I'm the only son, my dad can stop me from joining. Even though I'm 21. Sucks. But I wouldn't want my only son joining either, and his daughter, my step sister, died when I was younger. So I could only imagine what it would be like to lose another child.

Let the right one in- A swedish movie about a little girl who is a vampire who falls in love with a boy. they understand each other. My favorite movie.

the machinist- a fucked up movie about a guy who hasn't slept in a year and is hallucinating entire events in his life. You have no idea what is real and not real most the movie. I didn't like it because it reminded me of me.... it was a good movie though

The new Pirate of the carribean- It was amazing. Saw it today.
Jack sparrow: has the nature of an incubus
      Angelica: a dark angel
      Black beard: A dark sorcerer
      Mermaids: demons of the sea
I like it because the actors really act out the emotions of the characters kind of. they act from their hearts. I like that.
Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake

I love that movie, but I can only watch it when I'm really tired. It makes me enjoy it a lot more that way, and when he finally falls asleep at the end, it feels so satisfying. Then I go right to sleep.

Loved that movie, though I thought The Social Network deserved the best picture and best director Oscars.

Just saw Star Trek (2009)again, great movie.

      That movie was awesome.

Last (new) movie I saw was Thor in 3D. From the trailers, I was never really quite sold on it. I knew it was a must see, though, because I'm keeping up on the Marvel Studios movies. It wasn't bad, though. Had some pretty funny moments, and the action was satisfying. The movie did feel kinda shallow, though. It just felt like they could have done so much more with it. (But I understand the most movies based on such epic storylines end up feeling this way.) Overall, the highlight of the entire experience was that I had a nice buzz and the entire theater to myself. The casting was good enough, and I liked the attention they paid to the humor in the movie, but I think it began to come off as a bit too campy, at time.

Wouldn't mind seeing it again, though, which I suppose counts for something.

      I's been watching movies.

I Am Number 4: I found it better than expected, though pretty much everything involving the Aussie chick seemed very fake. Overall, a decent puberty-gave-me-superpowers flick, as such things go.
True Grit: The Coen bros edition. It wasn't one of their best films, but it was excellent.
Rango: good for some laughs. I'm not sure how much kids would be into it--more of the humor was adult oriented. The animation was top-notch where talking animals are concerned.

The Man From Nowhere: an incredible Korean revenge thriller. The action is some of the best I've seen, featuring an insane knife fight at the end. The acting and story were also top-notch. Highly recommended.

Water For Elephants. It was a bit slow but I thought it was pretty good overall. I would recommend it if you like circus stories or love stories.
