      Assassin's Creed 2

Anybody else going to be playing this? It just came out yesterday in the UK, and from what I've played of it so far, plays far better than the original!

It has an play time of about 18-20 hrs, but I'm a bit of a completionist so I'll probably be hunting shit down in that game for many weeks.

      Decent video...

      I don't have a 360 nor a PS3, I don't want one at all. I'm pretty satisfied with my PS2 and GC =D and my Comp also.

I love the PS3. Bluray player, plus it doesn't break down like the Xbox. Games are top notch too...I look forward to this game, as well as god of war 3. I also agree with tkdyo, I don't like playing platform games on a PC, but when it comes to RTS, and FPS and MMO's definately gotta go with PC

I'll defiantly be playing it. Think I might even purchase this one (hasn't been the norm lately, I'm afraid). However, I have to wait for the PC version to come out. Never had a console, and now I find I don't really want one.

Yeah, I have both systems. Actually, all three. My Xbox has broke I think, three times. and all three times it was a week and then I got a brand new system.

But my Ps3 has never broke once. Maybe it's because I play it once a month hoping something decent comes out that's exclusive. but it never does. Except littlebigplanet, metal gear, ratchet, and uncharted, nothing has really made me like buying it. I actually regret owning it, now.

No it just has the highest defence and extra health and it comes with all the pieces and I am home from school with a broken leg so I have a lot of time on my hands

PS. The tombs appear on the map reguardless of if you have scythonised that area to your map or not

Sweet, that should make it easier.

And the first was repetitive, I agree. I think I enjoyed it more than most though.

Buy Demon's Souls. You'll no longer regret owning it.

On a more related note, I just bought AC2, and it's pretty sweet. I've only assassinated like 2 or 3 guys so far, but it took quite awhile to get that far. I'm hoping it's not too short.

      I love it!

I also really like the new Puzzle's. Except the one with Jesus on the cross freaked the shit out of me.

Some parts really made me think of Prince of Persia though... Although, I must say I haven't gotten really far yet.

Yeah, I agree, the puzzles make for a nice change of pace, and it's interesting uncovering the "conspiracy". Although I've got all but five pieces of the video and I still have no idea what it's about...

Also, this is shaping up to be one of the longest single-player games I've ever played! My brother is just doing mission after mission though, all the side quests are wasted on him!

I'm looking forward to getting this game, what are the pros and cons compared to the first one?

Well, the combat's pretty much the same (i.e. easy), although in saying that there are lots of new weapons with unique finishing moves. In the first one it was basically, "go to a city, pickpocket a dude, eavesdrop on some other guy, kill the target" over and over. This time it's a whole lot more interesting, and the assassinations occur as part of the plot, which is always moving on. There's also a whole lot more fancy ways to kill people.
I could go on for ages, but "it's better than the first in every way" sums it up.

I bought this game, I really hope it doesn't become a snoozefest like the first one did. I'm not a completist, but I like to start a game and beat it.

I just finished it. Ending was, as expected, fucked. The last words said as the screen faded to black and the voice changed from Ezio to Desmond captured my feelings perfectly, as well as making me laugh.

Now to get all the damn feathers, solve all the damn hieroglyph things, and do all the other random side shit in the hopes that the game will make a little more sense when I finish it all....

I saw my brother finishing it, summed up exactly what I thought as well! lmao I guess there had to be some totally bizzare revelation at the end, I had "aliens" in my head. I thought it was awesome though!

Yeah, it's starting to sound like the game is referencing towards...

      Spoiler for story plot:

But I'm not too sure.... I mean, how the hell can you be with this game, it's just messed.

Anyway, yeah it was pretty awesome, but I really think the next game needs to either amp up the difficulty, or give people the option to choose a difficulty. I mean, the final boss was just ludicrously easy, I only lost like 1 square of my health bar, and by the end of the game I have like 20 of them, as well as a pack of like 15 heals.... That's the only flaw I find this game had, otherwise I thought it was pretty damn good, and I'm willing to play it again right now all over, despite beating it only like a day ago. That's rare for me, it takes a damn good game to make me want to play through twice.

Can't wait for the third one now. I really admire the work that they have put into their story, the world they created, all the history they've dug through and planted their own little bits and pieces of information to make their conspiracy seem relevant to our own world instead of just making up random ass character names and stuff.... Makes for a very "mythical/legendary" feel to the game, which I haven't really noticed in many other games.
