Yes, Hitler was a bad person, that doesn't mean he needs to die. People need to change, not "die", I know most people like that won't just change, but that isn't my point

They are ignorant of the fact, and you can not kill someone who doesn't understand why they are in the wrong.

You know better, because you're wired up the right way and can see not only why something is worng, but how to avoid the situation all together. People like those mentioned above can not tell the difference. They indeed know what's wrong, but they don't have a clue why it's wrong. They are wired up different from us, and to kill em for that reason is ridiculous. It isn't what these people deserve, it's normal people trying to justify their own blood lust.

However, if one of these people were to harm me or any of my family then all logic goes out the window. The who's and why's of the situation would become irrelevant.

How can you possibly compare Hitler to Phelps? Not even similar.

Furthermore... how can you compare Fred Phelps to murderers or rapists? When has he ever murdered or raped anyone? All he's doing is excersizing his freedom of speech. Would you say who can and cannot speak their minds? Just because you don't agree with what he's saying, just because most people don't agree with what he's saying, doesn't mean he should just be killed or put in jail. That's ridiculous.

because everyone deserves a chance. The people need help, not death. Child molesters, rapist, murderers, etc. All are doing bad things, but that is usually because they have an issue themselves. Maybe they were abused as a child, and this is what happened. It doesn't mean they should die because they have a problem. The Phelps shouldn't be on that list, I don't agree with what they say nor do I like it, but as others said they do have the freedom of speech...and we do to, we could go start protesting against the Phelps, then they could say we "deserve to die", its the same situation just reverted.

Okay, here's what ended up happening... Hundreds of people showed up to support the people attending the funeral, and they were holding up signs and acting very ready to deal with the Westboro bunch, but the Westboro nut cases never showed up. I guess they still have a spec of sanity.

The Westboro Baptists are exercising their right to free speech. No matter how much you or I may disagree to what they have to say, do you really believe that using the rights given to us in our bill of rights is a crime punishable by death, or on par with rape and murder?

It turns out that the Westboro freaks did not prove they have any level of sanity left. A good ole boy network scheme kept them away from the funeral.
