You should try meditation, you might have an advantageous disposition to it, i.e., you can relax easily. |

Hmm now that you say it might be a really good idea. Maybe once i get to a really relaxed state of meditation, i could keep inducing ASMR for a lot longer than usually... maybe it would be even stronger if i'm focused enough because of the meditation... |

I feel exactly the same as the bold, I even feel like if I do it often enough in a row it loses it's potency before I'm unable to do it again, like it'll still work but feel weaker. I feel I get it a lot more if I'm on some sort of stimulant. I'm a self proclaimed caffeine addict, I usually take in ~400-900 mg of caffeine a day. It works if I don't have caffeine too, but it's like a thousand times easier with it and happens a lot more on it's own without my trying. |

You guys are strange, I have no idea what you're talking about. >.> |

Seems like I have Synaesthesia...? I thought everyone gave colors to days and numbers, don't they? And certain shapes with colors tend to give me a pleasant taste in my mouth, espeially circles. Like in that last ASMR video. |

Whatever happens~
That does nothing to me |

I find it interesting that so many people have this triggered by music and whispers. None of those videos do anything for me. The only time anything happens while I listen to music is if a particular part of the song is flat out fucking amazing, and the tingling comes due to very subtle conscious effort. I experience how good the song is, and at the same time I make it more. It's a very difficult concept to explain. The only ASMR I get as a result of an external trigger is if I am getting my hair buzzed off or sometimes if I run my hands through my hair (they're nearly the same cause). Otherwise I internally trigger it myself. Though, I do remember as a child that I experienced this phenomenon, but it was entirely at random--it was never caused by anything. I tried explaining it to people but they told me I was just having chills, but it's distinctly different. I couldn't argue with them though, I didn't even know what it was myself. |

I used to get these alot when I was younger. Mine could be triggered by a a really great song, though the whispering part never happened to me. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but I used to get it sometimes whenever I had a really exciting thought. I always chalked up to some kind of weird sporadic chill. I never knew there was a name for this; interesting. I also want to point out that the only thing now that gives me that feeling is the sound of styrofoam. Yikes! |
