I've done research on 2012 for a while now..I've read a lot of different theories. Some make sense, some sound like complete bullshit.

And all I have to say on the matter is focus on the here and now..there is no past or present. But the most important thing of all, is to not succumb to fear...just be aware of what's going on here and now and how you feel.

Fear is literally a prison for the mind, that's how people manipulate one another...actually it's the EASIEST most EFFICIENT way to manipulate someone.

Just relax...if this solar storm comes in 2012 it's going to boost the electromagnetic field in the earth. The pineal gland ( responsible for dreams, OBE's and NDE's ) is sensitive to electromagnetic fields. Can you imagine everyone in a state of peace and serenity, having and sharing lucid dreams every night? Light up some cheeba and relax, what's coming in 2012 is bliss. The world won't end unless you want it to or fear that happening.

But basically the formula is:

Fear = control
Love, or feeling happy = manifestation.

Refer to law of attraction.

Who do you think is doing the manifesting if the masses are in a state of fear?

my thoughts on 2012 is that its not going to be the end of the world, its just going to be the end of the world as we know it, like a huge change is going to take place. something like an enlightenment of the people is going to occur.

This for sure and like hard wired said, it might be a change for the better. I believe *something* will happen, but I would like to hope its just things getting cleaned up.

I'm thinking 2012 is whatever you want it to be.

It's understood that subconscious beliefs shape your reality and what you experience. I can't go into how this is even scientifically possible, because I can't explain it...I just can't. It's all subjective.

All depends on what people think, that's the point of movies like 2012 xD some people know about this and work for the darkside making people scared they know that if people go to the light/love side of things they'll have a very bad time being burnt by all the light.

I also feel something big is gonna happen , and some little things are happening right now.

what most people don't realize and understand is...Mayans are still ALIVE. Your textbooks growing up might have told you otherwise. But it wouldn't be the first time textbooks were biased, ignorant or racist. Mayans are alive.

When the Spanish came and tried to convert all the Mayans and other Central American cultures to Catholicism, these Central American cultures simply practiced their culture in secret. So while at Sunday mass they were Catholic Spanish citizens, at home, they were Mayan.

However, the highest Mayan priests foresaw that they would be murdered by the Spaniards. Their line of knowledge would be destroyed. Believing this knowledge was too important to be destroyed by Spaniards, it was given to the Hopi. It is believed that the Hopi have safe guarded the Mayan knowledge, and are still safe guarding it.

Could bad things happen on 2012? Yes. Very bad things could potentially happen. But bad things are already happening, and have been happening. Most of mankind is already suffering.

Why are we modern humans so obsessed with doomsday? Because our cultures have no real value. Hell, the American dollar has no real value. The modern lifestyle hasn't made people happier. People are obese. Lazy. Apathetic. Depressed.

We know our lifestyle is damaging to ourselves and to the world. We know our lifestyle could ultimately destroy us if we don't prevent the polar ice caps from melting. And the best part about it is, we don't do crap about it. Most of us are still living our lives exactly as we did the day before, and the day before that, and the day before that....

Doomsday isn't just frightening. It's alluring. The thought that this outside event could destroy the modern world once and for all, is actually something many people look forward to

But ultimately, this is the lazy approach to real change. No doubt thanks to Christianity, which would have you sit on your ass waiting for Jesus to wipe it *Which Jesus has no intention of doing!*

Instead of looking forward to doomsday to change your life around, you can change it now. That's what the gathering of the ancestors is all about. Don Alejandro and other Elders believe very soon the modern world will seek the wisdom of the ancients to learn how to live again. I've already stated this many times before: 26 000 is the number of years associated with the precession of the Earth. So yes, this 2012 prediction is also bunk. Why? Simple:

1. There's no strong side effects from the precession. Also, the starting point for counting cycles is completely arbitrary.

2. The cycle is just approximately 26 000 years, not exactly, and in fact the value has even decreased over time. So even if the Mayans were right and for whatever magical reason the precession had an effect on us at a certain point during the cycle, they'd still be wrong about the date it'd happen in. "2012" happened decades ago.

Oh I completely agree!!! I mean there's no need to be all paranoid about something that's not even certain... and iven if it was certain (which again, it's not) we should still live our live right now... I was just open for opinions..

I just feel like most of people have lost the meaning of living... so if something WAS to Happend, it might be a good thing Idk...

I agree it should have went to ED. But to be fair, it still has a place here seeing as it kinda is about a prophecy. And prophecy is basically seeing the future, and BD is where that belongs.

But still... Although it has an excuse to be here, it kinda belongs more in ED.

Hmmm... then why are topics about ghosts allowed here?

If ghosts are allowed, then I assumed other non-dream related things would be allowed.

I really don't think ghost should be allow here too.

Unless of course the experience is something involving ghosts visiting them in a dream. Or waking up in the middle of the night to see it watching over you. Or something creepy like that.

My brother showed me a video yesterday on "2012 Will Not be the end of time, NASA says."
In it, they brought up some good points. They said how the mayan calender has differnt numbers for each date. On December 21st, 2012 the number is 13 00 00. But that doesn't mean the end of the world. They said that a new calender starts up. (I can't remember the exact wording.) They also said how the last know, threat erasing disaster was 26million years ago, with the dinosaurs.

But I just don't quite understand why people are so defensive of this. Do they really want the world to end? What about the rest of their lives? I'm still young, I have a lot I want to do in my life.

An amazing amount of wisdom juroara, though I fear it fell on deaf ears.

2012 didn't happen decades ago. The precession isn't arbitrary. The Sun and the earth don't always align with the bulge of the milky way. This is something that only happens apx every 26,000 years. This is the cycle of the sun, as our sun revolves around the milky way. That is science, not myth or magic.

Don Alejandro is a great man, who only wants to spread the message of peace and love. Not doomsday and gloom.

The Mayans had the most accurate calender in ancient history. We already know their calender is not 100% precise. Does that make it any less remarkable? No. Considering the only technology they had was to look at the stars, they were greatest astronomers of their time.

The end of a cycle and the birth of the new cycle isn't something that happens instantly over night. Or on the December 21 2012. Did I say this? Did I say that Don Alejandro says this? You made a false assumption. We are actually aligned with the center of the galaxy for a much longer period than a day. The Mayans absolutely recognize this. The Mayans believe in a transition period.

The idea that we are only aligned with it on December 21 2012 is something that "white men" have taught. Not Mayans. We are in the transition period according to the Mayans. A transition period that started years ago, and could end anywhere around 2015. If anything, 2012 is the height of this transition period. But not the beginning or ending.

The effect on mankind has nothing to do with some sort of physical effect from the physical precession. That is not what the Mayans are teaching. The effect on mankind is spiritual. This is the message of the Mayans. They believe spiritual evolutionary leaps happen accordingly to these cycles. Why? Because they believe in cycles. They believe cycles are natural. They believe spiritual evolutionary leaps happen in natural cycles, as natural of the cycle of the moon onto a womans body.

It is important to understand they do not separate spirituality from nature. This means in their eyes, spiritual/cultural cycles coincide with natural cycles

Again, bad things are already happening. And will no doubt escalate. Not because of the date 2012. But because we are in the end of a cycle. Many futurists and scientists agree we are at the end of a cycle, their beliefs have nothing to do with the message of the Mayans though. But it does perfectly coincide with it.

What is this cycle futurists are talking about? Look at the start of the 1900's. Look at the year 2000. It's only a hundred years difference. Yet who in 1900 could have predicted the world in 2000? Futurists and scientists agree, no one can accurately predict the world in 2100. No one knows what technology we will have only one hundred years from now

All they can do is look at the curve, the trends and see that our technology is heading towards and evolutionary leap mankind has never seen or dreamed of. And this is precisely the problem.

The problem is if mankind doesn't evolve with her technology, then we will inevitibly use it poorly. It would be like chimpanzees driving cars. Total disaster.
And while no one can foresee the technology we will have, what they can forsee is us. We are a stubborn race. We have proven throughout our history the refusal to change until our livlihoods are threatened. How serious have we taken global warming? I mean, how many people have returned to Lousiana even though it's almost a certain gaurantee it will sink beneath the ocean?

Our refusal to change until threatened is the very cycle that is coming to an end. Why? Because this time around, we can't afford to wait. If we wait till the polar ice caps to melt to change our lives, it will be too late. If we wait till our rivers and lakes dry up to change the way we treat water, it will be too late. Our crops will fail. Americans, not just the third world, will starve . If we wait, believe it or not, to 2015 to change the way we drive..........The american economy will crash soon after.

The overall message being given to us by these scientists and futurists is the same. Mankind is heading on course with global disaster on a proportion we have never seen before.

But even more important, is the message that we can't wait for disaster to strike us.The real message is we only have small window of opportunity of time to radically change the way we live, the way we eat, the way we do business, the way we treat each other, and the way we treat the earth.

We are in that small window of opportunity of time

This small window of opportunity of time coincides with the message of the Mayans, the Hopis and others.

The parallels don't end there. According to the Mayans, the next cycle of the Sun we are entering is one that brings us closest to God. Earth will become a paradise. Paradise at hand is universal in almost all major religions.

Scientists and futurists are seeing something similiar, just without the God part. Think of every single major problem affecting mankind. Poverty. Bad business. Poor governments. Disease. War. Famine. Destruction of supporting ecosystems. Even empty and meaningless jobs that plague americans with depression. All of these problems are connected.

To really solve one problem, is to solve them all. To save the trees, you have to first save the starving. To save the starving you need to transform bad business and transform failed governments, and so on and so on.

If we want to prevent the global catostrophes that will engulf us in the next hundred years - we have to solve all world's major problems. Each and every one. If we could see this future, how would we describe it? Would we think it's paradise?

I kind of suspect the 2012 prophecies were just foretelling how awful the movie would be .

Seriously though, if you're waiting for prophecies to change the world, you'll be waiting a long time. If we want the dawn of a new age or a revolution in consciousness, we'll have to make it ourselves.
