      Weird lucidity

So lately ive been able to fall asleep and be aware that im dreaming. This is the part that im wondering about. I can hear people around me and even farther than i would when im awake. And even listen to music when i sleep. I can even wake myself up whenever i want to. Does anyone know what this is?

Ah, dreams do not have the same rules as waking life. The only limits you have are set by your own mind. You could hear someone talking on a mountain range in the background in a dream. Anything is possible. There is nothing to be frightened about. I can also wake myself up at will when I am in a lucid dream, though a lot of times I cause false awakenings when I do this. Keep in mind that waking life sound can definitely penetrate the dream state. If you fall asleep listening to music or watching tv, the sound can easily carry over into your dream. Its completely normal when it comes to the dream world. Keep in mind, dreaming is just weird in general .

I dreamt once about an explosion and when I woke up, I have found out, that the wind broke the window

so it`s possible to hear the external world while sleeping, the question is what your mind does with that information at that time
      dream goals:
[ ] - sail with the Black Perl to Hoghwarths and show my magic wand to Hermione aaarrrrrrrrr
[ ] - turn into Chuck Norris, kick Justin Bieber into a large pit, while shouting "shut the f*ck uuuuuuuuuupppp"
[ ] - meet the Sasquatch and ask him to pick my stocks, then crash the economy
[ ] - find my virginity to avoid the piranhas on the escalator and get probed by aliens

I think this is really just the same principal as being able to use a light device to indicate to yourself that you're dreaming, but with most of your sense of sound. Perhaps you're just a light sleeper?

      ^ I would agree that you're a light sleeper.
