What does your Dream Journal look like?

Manin posted that his is leather with tribal markings. Pretty cool, if you ask me!

I have a measly college-ruled 70 paged notebook. Several of them. They are all red, so I can separate them from my college notebooks.

      What do yours look like?

      Blue, boring copybook

      It does the job, though

I may have the worst you can imagine, besides a stack of papers maybe.
It's just a black binder I had lying around with a mix of lined and squared paper.
Out of curiosity, why is it important to have one that is attractive to you?

I think it is important to have one that you find attractive. I'm inbetween journals at the moment... I should fix that. However, I am going to Isrial tomorow and I'm bring a green leather journal with me to write down my real experinces and my dream experinces it. So it will be a mix while I'm away

      Pics? =D

@Edo: It doesn't have to be attractive. I hardly see the cover of mine, anyway. But since I heard about Manin's cool notebook, I wanted to see what others scribe their dreams upon.

I have a plain leather journal, with a slot into which the cardboard backing of a cheap notepad can be inserted, so making it refillable. It's nice because it includes ample room for a pen, and a holder for notes (currently contains: excerpts from EWLD, completed prospective memory training checklist, printouts of a few DV and LD4ALL forum posts I found useful, and some assorted dreaming notes). It also has a satisfying heft to it, compared to something like an exercise book. Used DJ notebooks get dated and put in a box in a drawer. I might try to get a picture sometime, but it is rather plain.

Mine is a partially-used college ruled spiral notebook with a green cover. The spiral is broken in one place, so half of the book is offset one notch from the other.

Mine is online because it's just so much faster to type than write. And I have ugly handwriting. And I can't always read it. 0.o

I use mp3 player with built-in voice recorder to memorize dreams as soon as I woke up. Later I write them in Calc (Open Office's Excel) file. And the last step is to add new places (if any) or change position of already existing ones (if needed) on my dream map which is basicly vector image which I edit using Inkscape (open-source editor of vector images).

I have ugly handwriting too, and it is faster to type. But my computer takes too long to start. >.<

Now that seems like a good idea! I like the reusable aspect. And the pen aspect. My pencil can no longer fit into the metal spiral (too much warped paper)... The notes sounds very helpful, too!

I sometimes wish I had an actual physical journal to go longhand in, but I just use my laptop (which I keep on during the night so if I wake up I can just log in and write).

I used to post my entries onto Dreamviews but now I just use a password-protected file.

I can't stand using the pc as DJ. I've got other stuff to do, and I've to write in English, while that's not my native language. (I use an online DJ, you see)

It used to be this purple college ruled notebook, but I don't use it anymore. These days I just record what I remember directly onto my online dream journal here on Dream Views. I got lazy.

My sister thinks it's weird that I don't mind putting my dreams up for the world to see. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all, considering 90% of my dreams are complete and utter nonsense!

I use those old colored grade school notebooks, and toss them when they are full. I consider my real DJ online.

Eveentually, I'd like to eventually get my collection of dreams printed in book form.

I have 3 of them. My first one was a brown notebook with a little sash in it so you keep it closed well. I also kept my pencil there

My second one was black, hard cover because I kept it with me all the time. Quite small, compact

My current one I've had for one year now, not even halfway yet, so no panic for getting new one yet also black, hard cover. I have drawn a couple drawings in the first page and the cover It also has my dream drawings and map of my "dreamhome" <3

I wonder if I should get lock on it ;O

My dream journal is an RTF document =p

I'm afraid somebody would find my journal and go WTF is this?

      "I feel my heart glow
with enthusiasm which elevates me to heaven; for nothing contributes so much to tranquillise the mind as a steady purpose--a point
on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye."

At one point (when I was living with my parents), I put a "Read Me First" page sticking out of my journal. It explained that it was a dream journal, and briefly explained lucid dreaming.

      Melville in all his splendor.

Because he's always in my bed the binding broke and the pages fall out. There's also a lot of loose pages in there from dreams I wrote down in school and added. The pen holder works slightly better then clipping the pen to the cover, as to why is still an enigma to me though.

My physical DJ is actually pretty nice. The cover is black, it's made out of some weird plasticy material, like patent leather except it's not leather, just shiny. Something synthetic. The pages are cream colored and have shiny gold lines. The edges of the page are gold and very shiny and pretty. I think my grandma gave it to my like 7 years ago and it became my DJ after sitting empty on a shelf for a long time. It has "JOURNAL" embossed on the front.

My digital DJ is a Word file with a ridiculous scheme denoting lucids versus non-lucids that doesn't really make sense and that I change over time as I forget what it used to be.

At my dad's house my "DJ" looks like , but with a green cover.

Maybe a good thing. It might save you from very ackward situations but it might also put in VEERY ackward situations ^^ at least in my case.

I believe in people's honesty and sense of privacy. Stupid me.

At least someone will have something interesting to read when I am dead and gone.
