      Dream Journal medium

      Poll ^^

I wanted to know how you like to keep your DJ? On paper or on the computer?

I like to use good old pencil and paper. I'm a visual person, so I like to make sketches of scenes I remember (just about every page of my DJ has a sketch unless there really wasn't anything worth sketching or too complicated). I've been thinking of transferring my DJ to the computer, but would loose my sketches (and I'm not rewritting 200+ dreams, lol)

Anyway, just would like to know what you use and why

(Also, I love the new table that pops up when you make a new thread to make sure another thread doesn't already exist)

I keep mine on paper but will transfer them to computer. I like to make sure that I have a backup if anything ever happened to my paper copy and vice versa.

I write down alot of details or just some keywords to remember the dream later. I do the first option if the dream was vivid or, obviously, had alot of details that i managed to remember.

I always record my Lucids here on the forum, then print them out. They look a lot nicer that way. And if anyone gets something out of reading my experiences, that's cool too.

Other dreams, I go back and forth from doing it on the forum, or note book.
Sometimes when my recall is bad I will start using my journal here. I find that sometimes just wanting to have something to post in my online journal improves recall much faster.

What, no access to a scanner?

I always write mine in my bedside notebook (with a lighted pen so I don;t have to turn on the lights and kill the dream recall instantly). Then I'll sometimes re-write it in my online journal (it the dream warrants it). I:m thinking about writing up my favorite entries in better format with illustrations and printing it up in book form.

Computer all the way. Specifically the internets. I've had times when my connection was out for an extended amount of time, and I didn't even bother to write them down at all.

True, and I do have a scanner, but it's always a hassle so don't even bother

I actually write them out as a text draft on my phone. I write pretty much everything, and then add some small things as I'm then rewritting it to paper, and then do sketches/ doodles

I do WBTB, so I keep a piece of paper next to my bed and write down brief descriptions of my dreams, and in the morning I write a descriptive review of my dreams on Word. I'd start a DJ on DV, but my dreams can be embarrassing.

I take notes in my paper journal and usually expand on them in my online journal. This way I can jot down my dreams immediately on waking. Also, I find it easier to think on paper. All my story/essay outlines are done in sketchbooks and on random sheets of A4.

I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide this is all his fault.

      Computer.

Though I do have decent handwriting, I think it's easier to SEE on the computer. Plus, I like that people can read my dreams!
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

I like pencil and paper. ^^

      I have a special notebook that I keep my dreams in. I like to be able to flip back through my dreams and read them, and I like to make sketches that helps me recall certain scenes. There's a connection I get when writing my dreams out that I can't feel when typing on a computer. ^^;

There should be an option for both.
I keep a journal by my bed for notes and write out the dream in its entirety on the computer. Well, when I feel the will to write them out.
