I was that exact same way. I had the WORST False Awakenings and Sleep Paralysis. (Before I knew what anything was) - These scared the living Sh** out of me! Once I did research, found out what was happening and why, that calmed me down a ton.
Try practicing a WILD during the middle of the day. The dark can be very scary your first few WILDs, esp when you hear sounds and feel things. In the day however, it eliminates a lot of worries and concerns that are associated with the night.
Once you are familiar with what happens when you WILD, the stages, the feelings, the sounds, voices, the images, etc, etc.. You will begin to want to do it more and more at night - in a dark and quiet place.
Just remember, you are 100% safe!!!! EVERYONE goes through these things who WILD, and almost everyone was scared of it, esp at night their first few times.
--- You can find many tutorials, aids, help on this site.
--- WILD has a HUGE pay-off, and the LD is more the worth it!!!
