      do you fly with wings?

so I think its pretty interesting to hear about how people fly, how some have wings and some dont, some flap their arms

I dont fly with wings at all, to me in my mind I know im lucid so it seems pointless for me to need wings or need to do anything to fly, I just do, my arms come out to my sides, but that's all.

I think it all depends on what makes sense in your mind
      So I was curious
do you fly with wings? what do your wings look like?
or, do you not fly with wings, then what do your arms do while you are in the air?

There was a thread 3 years ago like this: Art of Flying

Just putting it there so you can see what people wrote back then...

Me personally: I've only flown once and it wasn't in a very vivid LD so it was completely visual.. I just thought about going up and (No wings BTW)...

I tried doing the Neo flying thing and I got the wierd rings around me but when I jumped I fell tremendously back down.. (Not nice)

Edit: I'm the same as you, I think it's pretty pointless to fly with wings if I'm lucid... But now I think about it, I think'd be pretty cool to feel new "limbs" and flap them

      thanks for the link

      Neo flying?
like matrix that's cool, maybe when I get better at lucid dreaming ill try that. but yeah, falling doesn't sound fun, especially when you have a long way to go back down

hahaha well I wish you the best of luck.
im interested in trying to grow some wings, just to see what its like to fly with them, but I kinda like the flying without wings too, it makes me feel like I have powers, and not like there is a sensible cause to my flight

Lol, Yh.. That's probably why I dismissed wings in the first place..

But growing wings.. Now that's interesting.. *Begins to feel sense of power *... Lol,

Sometimes I sort of bullet into the sky with my arms at my sides, expecting to either rise or fall. I've only flown with wings twice, both of which were angel or bird wings. The most reliable and intense flying I do is while wearing Iron Man Mark II armor. It's pretty cool!

Anyways, if you envision casting your wings out and seeing the shadows of them on the ground in front of you, it helps with the illusion and helps the wings to stay on.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

That shadow technique, sounds interesting... It would be a bother if you forgot you had wings mid way in flight,

When you were in the Iron Man armour did you have the Iron Man HUD in front of you.. Cause if you did, that would be awesome...

I did once, but it was pretty damn dark. I ended up ditching that before the dream destabilized and just assumed flight position; but sometimes I'd stand there and manually have a machine put it on like in the movie.

Lol, Wow... Have the machine put it on...

I can imagine summoning a small transportable version of the Iron Man armour that's thumb size.. And placing it on your finger like a thimble, which then activates it into expanding into covering your whole body..

Kinda like the one in Iron Man 2...

whenever I fly, I either have my arms to the side, or my arms out stretched
I'm gonna try to fly with wings soon
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

I need not wings to fly. Likewise, my arms are free to move any which way I please.

However, for an Advanced Task awhile back, I grew myself some wings, as part of my Griffin get-up, and proceeded to fly with them.

Ive flow with wings twice one of those times I had feathers all over me and I was quite a bit smaller and had a super excelerated heart rate it felt like a constant vibration in my chest and I had a beak. I was a BIRD. but the other time i was like angel from Xmen. generally I fly without wings though sometimes in a superman way and sometimes I keep my body vertical and just lean a little bit in the direction I want to go. Thats mostly for short distances though when I dont feel like walking. Strangely in my dreams walking is more straining then flying
I accept that my reality is always a dream so if something changes I know I'm right.

No wings, it's more like floating for me.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

Wanna see how it'll feel to glide...

I find this discussion fascinating because I've never really thought about it. I've flown in my dreams my whole life, though I had a number of years where I was so busy I never remembered my dreams after waking up. Thinking about it I have to say that when I'm flying I'm seldom aware of my body as in a head, two arms, two legs and a torso. I feel myself, but I'm mostly aware of just being, as in no solid body, just spirit or ethereal body. I can see around me and sometimes I'm aware of what's all around me as in 360 degrees, but mostly I just see what's in front, above or below me in about a 180 degree field of vision.
If I can I'm going to have to experiment with trying to develop a set of wings. What a neat experience.

When I'm lucid I seem to only be able to swim-fly. Like breaststroke through the air. Which is cool but I'm working on "normal" flight lol. When I'm not lucid I think I generally do the superman/Neo flight.

I only have rocketpowered flying skills when I'm lucid. I shoot up into the air and go really fast. I've learned to slow down a little bit but not much. Wings aren't needed, I feel like my hands shoot rockets downward so I fly up.

      I use reverse gravity.

I also fly with bat wings sometimes for greater maneuverability.

I don't fly with wings. I take a step, jump up and then just fly. I hold my arms out to the sides to help me balance
