Is this normal (Help me out)

I took an afternoon nap, usually i cant fall asleep very well. anyways i was just sitting completely still on my back. I mean laying on my back and i was listening to the "Ultimate lucid dream induction" mp3. Just looping it. And i was just counting Suddenly after about 20 minutes my heart started to beat extremely fast and i could feel something like in my head. It felt like a heart attack. Is this normal Sleep paralysis before a LD. ive never LD'd b4.

It depends, SP is often used to WILD, as it means your body is falling asleep, so if you can get yourself to enter a dream (Once SP starts) without losing conciousnes, you will have a lucid. Remember to RC every once in a while though, sometimes people fall asleep and not notice it, and the dream is about trying to WILD and failing lol

That's a classic INRALD - I'm Not Really Awake Lucid Dream

I'd say you might have been close. Sometimes my heart rate jumps too, but usually my "shifts" in consciousness feels all fuzzy and disoriented. When I get that feeling, it's a good time to reality check, because that may have been the transition.
