Is it better to obey dream characters?

For instance in a LD if one of your dream characters tell you to come this way and to follow him and things like that, or does it make no difference whether you do or not?

I've had one experience like that in an LD and I just went with it thinking I would stay in the dream longer(Im a beginner at LDing), but I woke sooner than expected.

      Just wondering Thanks guys

No it really doesn't make a difference. By getting wrapped up in the dream script I usually fade out of lucidity. But if I'm doing my own thing I tend to be more aware. It's all just preference.

I think it would be interesting to go along with the dream whilst Lucid. If you don't lose your lucidity it would probably be a very interesting adventure.

Don't get me wrong it can be loads of fun sometimes. But other times you have specific goals you want to achieve.

Like Zebrah said, it is preference, I'm very changing, sometimes will follow and help the DCs, sometimes will use them as sacrifices for a summoning <.<

In one of my first LDs I summoned items without sacrifice.

back on topic, I think I'd do it once just to see what goes down with *insert DCs name here* I just have to talk to them a little first, so I dont end up on a quest for the golden pickle or something odd like that.

But my target is too powerful to waste my energy! Must use useless human sacrifices that destroy the enviroment instead, win-win situation <.<

I really enjoy having DC's around.
I usually follow them if I am invited to do so.
If you feel like that would end up in a boring dream you can always ask them to tag along to where you want to go though.
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

i dont know about obeying them, but there is definately more scope for learning in dreams if you listen to what the characters are saying to you. also putting trust in them could be good if you have any trust issues in reality and can help you to confront any fears

I tend to go along with them, expecting that they are going to lead me to something incredible. It is all about your expectations and attitude. Expect greatness
