      Post New technique?

Ok so i just read a post on another forum of a new little technique to induce LD's.

What you do is go to sleep, wake up 4 and a half hours later, write "AM I DREAMING" on a paper for like an hour (doesnt have to be an hour) and then go to sleep.

      Anyone willing to try?

I guess any specific thing someone does during the waking stage of a WBTB+MILD could be called a new technique. I'm sure it would probably increase the chances of having a LD, just as thinking about LDing, writing a story about it, reading articles about it, going on this website, etc. would. That particular suggestion sounds annoying to do but I agree it would probably work really well.

This is a form of a WBTB. It focusses your mind on the intention to have a LD. Never tried it myself, but I think it would be very effective. However, i think doing it for a quarter to half an hour would be better. An hour of writing the same sentance gets boring (especially if you do it quite often ), and you'll start writing it without focussing on the intention to LD, which makes it less effective.

Or you spend those minutes visualizing becoming lucid, thinking of how awesome it's going to get when you get lucid and what you will do. The amount of time depends on you as a person. The longer you stay up the easier it gets to get lucid, but the harder to fall asleep. For me 20-35 minutes is the best.
