So, what exactly do you use Lucid Dreaming for?

      Pretty much thread title.

I was wondering if anyone here uses Lucid Dreaming for other things than causing havoc and having fun in your dream world. It might be be because I haven't had the opportunity to experience one yet, but wouldn't, say, an architect, have a small amount of practical applications for it? I may just be over-thinking a little.

I wanted to use lucid dreaming for anxiety type reasons. Although I havnt had one in a while and if I do, I never have enough time to do anything special in the lucid dream. But once I get better and have more time to practice, I'd like to work on some of my anxiety problems. But I also want to do some crazy shit that I can't do in real life, like a lot of other people probably want to do.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

My goal is more towards being able to lucid dream a lot and with clarity... then I'll just set whatever goal I want from there. I got to this sort of "I can do it whenever I want" stage and I did decide one night because I had had a stressful day to just go have some fun, I have also tried to meet my dream guide on a different night as well. So yes, I do have other goals than just having fun but being in a relaxing and exciting dream is among one of my favorite things to do (if that makes sense).
"For a long time it gave me nightmares, having to witness an injustice like that. It was a constant reminder of how unfair this world can be, I can still hear them taunting him. 'Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids!'... How come they just couldn't give him some cereal?"

      Some people explore spirituality.

The goal that finally kicked me into starting to lucid dream was to speak to my subconscious. I want to figure out how to fix my sleeping habits. I have trouble getting a sleeping rhythm going that works.

      Fun fun fun fun.

I want to talk to subconscious about some things that I'm not sure about in my life. And I want to study. A lot.

Having fun and doing stuff like flying etc.

Also, when I started, I wanted to get some nightmares away by doing it, but as I kept trying to get lucid and keeping a DJ, at some point I figured that the food you eat before going to bed affects dreams. So I changed what I eat and I get less nightmares now, much more rarely. Although I still get them, so I suppose it's having fun and getting some nightmares away.

Been trying for... seven months now, got about 10 lucids where I just wake up at the moment of realisation. Other folks would have given up by now, I guess. :/
      Lucid dreaming goals:

Fly( ) Tame a recurring wolf that has been in about 10 different dreams/nightmares ( ) Fly on a Night Fury from HTTYD ( ) Ask my subconscious why I have so many nightmares ( )
Fight agent Smith ( ) Ride a huge spider to a battle against a beenest ( ) Face all of my nightmare creatures and beat them ( ) Be a god ( )

I do use it mostly for fun, but I also use it for my dream guide. To find out who I really am, also I didn't find my dream guide yet.
