Is it possible to still have lucids or good dream recall if you smoke marijuana daily? I'm not talking about before you sleep, but like in the morning-afternoon hours and at the very least being 3-4 hours sober before you go to bed. |

Just when you are still under the effects for the most part. I had my one and only lucid after taking a tolerance break . I usually smoke 10-30 mins before bed it helps me sleep |
I don't really have a break in dream recall, I think I dream better, more stable. Probably because I'm not a deep sleeper but then again I don't really know except that weed doesn't really effect my dream recall or at least not much. |

At the fork in the road I turned left while everyone else turned right..
You all can say what you want about marijuana and lucid dreaming, but just take a look at KingYoshi, the guy is high all day long and he still had like 5 LDs a week or something like that. |
It all depends on your awareness. Some people may note a lack of short term memory when they're high, but with some awareness, you'd remember. This is from personal experience. As rynkrt3 said, KingYoshi does smoke and has a good number of LDs a week, and he practices ADA. But also from my personal experience, my dream recall is higher since I've stopped and the dreams are just much easier to remember and less fragmented. I have had lucids after a day of smoking though. |
LDing is about being aware and drugs take awareness away from you, so it would only hurt your chances. Once you are outa the side effects of the drug your dreams will be fine. |
Try not. Do or do not. There is no try.
so technically, if i smoked today and sobered down for about 4 hours, weed would have no affect on my recall tonight right? |

honestly, i really don't think weed has anything to do with recall, just believe that you will remember your dreams/have a lucid, and it'll work. don't doubt your subconscious by saying weed will mess up your recall, because it actually might not and your subconscious already will stop trying to attempt a lucid or a dream. |

i can put this to bed...... |
lol thanks for all the replies, i'll probably experiment with it soon :p |

heres how it works for me: Whenever I smoke, its usually late at night. So, I'd be going to bed high as fuck around 2:30 AM and waking up at like 12:30 PM. So i would be extremely exhausted and not feel like remembering last nights dreams. For your particular situation if you say you are smoking during the day, then you should be fine, as long as you aren't going into a trance every so often and losing your awareness of your surroundings like I do... |
I don't smoke often anymore (once every week or two) but I never noticed a big difference as long as I was still consciously trying to remember my dreams. I usually smoked right before bed and still had good recall. I also used to smoke then lay down and listen to Nine Inch Nails and have some pretty crazy visualizations while still half awake. |
