i did it! but have questions

I woke up today and remembered that when I fell asleep, I successfully WILDed for the first time into a lucid dream! and maintained lucidity and some form of control!

it was cool.. but now in retrospect, I keep thinking that I could have done so much more but my dreamself couldn't think of it at the time.

In the dream I woke up in my room. It started turning dark, and when I turned on the lights it didn't work and everywhere was dark so I started getting a bit scared before I ran outside and flew around.

      My questions are..
      1) how do I change the scene to something less mundane? Can I go somewhere crazy like visiting alien dimensions and worlds? Does my subconscious have it in it to envision that, or am I not ready yet?

I just wish I did more than walked around my room, fly around my neighborhood at night and then talked to some old friends.

I find lucid dreams that start in my own home to be the most mundane. It is such a habitual and normal environment, it can be tricky to coax the dream into something crazy. You can try using a television, a mirror, or a doorway to travel somewhere. You have to switch your mind over into creative mode. I normally just start exploring. Stay inquisitive and be prepared for surprises. Go with the flow a little, and don't overthink things. This is dangerous, as it is the opposite of staying lucid. You have to let yourself slip a little so the dream can start getting wacky and narrative.

This is what all of my first Lucids were like... From the sound of it-WILD, starting where you last fell asleep, scary presence- this might have actually been astral projection

Anyways, passive control is the easiest form of control. Everything in a LD takes your attention to exist, so think about things that remind you of that place you want to go, search for that place and let your mind take that desire and connect the dots.

Example: I want to see my friend, there's some shoes that look like his, I bet he's around the corner. Then let your mind direct your attention into where you want it to go.

If you can't control anything in your dream and all of the scenery looks exactly the same as it does in real life then your probably astral projecting

Did you have a task or goal in mind before going to sleep? This makes it easier to think of something to do while in the lucid dream.
I would also suggest trying portals from TVs, Computers, or mirrors to go to new places.
Or, try going to places in your dream neighborhood where you don't usually go and see what you find.
      It's all in your head.

      astral projecting? maybe..

I heard a loud alarm noise which i instantly recognized as my alarm clock ringing. so I was floating outside my house looking at my body sleeping, and I decided I could manipulate my body's movements through my dream. I saw my arms move to turn off the alarm clock..

in reality, the alarm clock is much farther in my room so I have to get up to reach it. The alarm clock never rang. Also i didn't realize in the dream, but my house was aligned all wrong so my room wasn't where it was supposed to be.

So that's not astral projection, it's just like... an illusion of astral projection, right?

      --

also.. i still can't believe i WILDed like it was nothing! i had so much trouble with it before, and this time it just happened right as I was falling asleep at my normal bedtime with no sleep deprivation or anything. I thought during the early stages of sleep there isn't any REM activity so usually there's no dreams? will i be able to replicate this again or is this more of a once in a blue moon event?

Haha sounds like you're right, and I WILD once in a blue moon too haha but it's never been while going to sleep. Hopefully your situation is different

You can verbally will what ever you want in existence when you get gd you can just think about something and it manifest its self in the dream. say firmly or think confidently ex: moon now, jupiter now, mars now. you can fly to these places if you like but in nonphysical space you can think of a place and be there automatically. also its a gd idea to read about places you want to go because there is a astral dream environment version of any place you can imagine. namaste

That's a pretty useful technique and I find that it's really easy to pull off. You can go anywhere you'd like as long as you're able to imagine the environment.
