DCs stop talkin once i become lucid

Well i just had my second LD, first time being able to levitate, woot! but anyways just wondering if anyone else has this problem, My DCs stop talking to me when i go lucid. Both times i was talking to a DC who was my girlfriend at the time she both times she kinda even helped my realize i was dreaming. but afterward when i ask her something or say something she just kept a great smile on and never answered

That's interesting (congrats on the levitation by the way). I've never had DCs act any differently when I become lucid.
Maybe it's because you think, sub-conciously, that they will stop talking since it is only a dream, and the DCs are only in your head.
Try mentally making them talk, using dream control. See if you get any response out of them that way.
      Keep dreaming.

yea, i notice i keep talking to them like they are real or in the dream with me. maybe next time i will ask them questions about the dream rather than talking to them like a real person. Just the fact the DC helped me become lucid i guess i kinda looked at her like a side-kick lol

yea im still working on dream control myself, i was surprised i actually levitated rather easy. hoping most things i continue to try seem the same

Its usually all up to you. You think to yourself that they're not going to talk to you, then they're not going to talk to you. Next time your lucid, just expect them to talk to you, and usually they will. But sometimes, the DCs are just stubborn and wont talk. So just believe with all your will, that they will talk. Its the same as flying, if you dont have confidence that you will fly, then you might not be able to fly. So you have to believe, and remember, its your dream and those dcs are you.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

Everyone seems to experience some type of fighting back by their subconscious when they first are experimenting with lucid dreaming. In my lucid dreams, sometimes my mind plays tricks on me like not allowing me to do what I want or having DCs convince me that I'm not dreaming, it is real life and I'm actually under the influence of some drug lol. As you become more used to and comfortable with lucid dreaming things like this will stop with time.

Yeah, in this dream, UFOs came down, trying to scare me out of lucidity (at least I think), so I turned them into unicorns haha.
It's your mind, you do what you want. You just have to actually believe that you can do what you want.
      Keep dreaming.

well the thing is i wasnt really expecting them to stop talking, i did realise it happened the first time but didnt think it would happen again. Maybe them not talking anymore could be a sign of my dream fading cuz i usually wake a few seconds after. maybe a hand rubbing might work... thanks for advice guys i was kinda thinking someone would have the same issue i have, but its becoming apparent its most likely a dream control issue

Most likely the reason is this. The DC was a manifested to have a purpose in your dream. By becoming lucid, you altered the dream, so the DC no longer has a purpose, so your brain ins't going to put any effort into figuring out something for it to say.

Hmmm, I've had similiar experiences in which they stoppen talking but I usually command them to get away to let me concentrate anyway. x)
But I've also had conversations with them about the lucid situation.

I think that its about how suprised you are that you are lucid, because when I'm very suprised about it being a dream I tend to look around more and I am like "This isn't real o.o" while when I'm not really suprised about the situation I'll just continue what I was doing while figuring out what to do with the dream.

In every lucid dream I ever had so far at the moment of becoming aware my dream fades along with all the dream characters, and the new environment I'm in has no characters, just me.

My dreams also fade white when I'm waking up, just like blank. I think it depends on your level of lucidity about the DC's. All my lucids where I know I'm dreaming but I'm not aware enough to try to control the dream or break away, I don't lose my DC's and I continue with the plot. If I become very aware when I get lucid, knowing that I'm thinking completely how I do in waking life, I realize that I am also in control along with knowing I am sleeping. These lucids I kind of leave the DC's behind since I surpass them, I knowing something that they do not. Then I kind of just have my own experiences with no need for DC's. Now that I think about, my most influential and astounding lucids have been where I became aware enough that my DC's no longer had a purpose and I got to break free by myself to experience something so pure with only my subconscious. Thank you all for making me realize this Although my semi-lucids that keep my DC's in contact are still exciting.
