Sometimes lucid dreams are like that |
|
From my rotting body,
flowers shall grow
and I am in them
and that is eternity.
-Edvard Munch
That always happens to me, I'd say in about 99% of my LDs. I then end up seeing if there's anything strange to confirm that I'm asleep. Awareness will cause lucidity, not dream signs or RCs. They're used mostly for confirmation. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

When I come to think about it, all my DILD's were pretty much spontaneous but i did a reality check afterwards to stabilize, so yea I'd say its pretty normal. The more you start questioning your waking reality and whether its a dream, the more this behaviour will carry on to dreams which could further lead to more spontaneous lucidity. |
|
Most all of my LD's have been spontaneous like that. It just snaps, and I really don't even have to do a reality check because it's so obvious. I've only ever recognized a dream sign once to gain lucidity, and had one false awakening where I gained lucidity. Other than that, all others have been very spontaneous just like you described. |
