Exclamation Creating scripts for you dreams? A crazy hypothesis.

I have just had an idea that might work. After reading the book Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Steven Laberge i have discovered something that might work. Since dreams are based off the "residue" of the day i might have discovered away to create any dream you wannt. When i say residue, I mean what you experienced for that day. For example, yesterday i played Fear 3, and what I saw in the dream were some of the monster of the game.

So, the idea is that if you can write what the environment you want to be in with extremely descriptive words, where you can almost see where you are, you will be able to re-live what you read.

The practice of this is to, create a extremely descriptive story and or environment of where you want to go when you dream. Read this right before you go to bed a number of times. When going to sleep visualize the place that you wrote about in great detail. Finally, when you fall asleep and find your self in a dream, it will be the one that you imagined. This might also work, due to the fact that you are intently looking for the environment that you imagined, and when you see it, you will exclaim, "I must be dreaming!"

This is all hypothetical and I have not tested any of this. I can barely remember one dream per night as I have just started to LD again. If anyone has done this before, or could try this out tonight, please do and tell me how it works out.

What I occasionally do is daydream about a scenario I want to encounter in a dream.
I especially like to do this whilst falling asleep.
I'm not sure how well this works, but occasionally some elements sneak into my dreams and rarely I even dream the story I was imagining during my daydreams.

Your approach sounds a bit different, but I can see how it could work.
You should definitely try this and see if it works out for you.
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

Sounds like a great way to incubate/MILD if you're willing to put the effort in.

Thanks, it is different, but I am hoping it will have the same effect as normal day does, if the environment is fresh in your mind, you are more likely to dream about.

Possibly, if I or someone else can confirm this, we could start a thread where people can paste their stories, and help others have set dreams.

So, I am not the only one who came up with this idea? Hah. I am still novice and remember one dream per night, but the dream is usually 15min long

Well as I enjoy reading and writing so much, pretty early on I decided it's something that might help me, particularly since my visualisation skills have taken a while to build up.

Yeah, maybe we could have invented a new way in inducing LD. Someone said that once your lucid, you can control your dream however you want. But, sometimes that is hard to do, and can be unstable. I believe if you KNOW what your looking for when you dream, you will be 10 times for likely to become lucid once you see the dreamscape you have pictured

I've been daydreaming and incubating the same scenario for over three weeks, but I haven't encountered the location even once in a non-lucid. I've definitely used scripts and scenarios imagined in waking life before, in certain LDs. They just don't really show up in my non-lucids.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Immersing your conscious mind in a desired setting/activity etc. with the intention of it carrying over to your sub-conscious mind and into your dreams.
