      Brainwave States and Dreaming Hypothesis

      BETA
      Awake and alert.

      ALPHA
Hypnogogic hallucinations. Meditation. Visions. Half-asleep. Falling Asleep. Waking up.

      THETA
REM. Vivid dreams. Memorable dreams. Dreams of Waking Life. Sleep Paralysis. Twitching.

      DELTA
Deep sleep. Slow wave. Heavy Sleep Paralysis. Almost no physical movement. Dreams of Other Life. Epic Dreams. Serial Dreams.

My hypothesis is that we are always dreaming if we are in alpha, theta, or delta brainwave states. Alpha can be achieved while awake. To remember Delta Dreams, it's best to go into Alpha state. In other words, to remember your dreams from your Deep Dream State, you must meditate. Lowering the frequency of your brainwaves will allow you to remember your Delta Dreams better.

Usually epic serial dreams, dreams of another life, dreams of having godlike powers are in the Delta brainwave state. These longer waves make for longer dreams. In this state, we are all extremely powerful, but most people do not remember these dreams, because they happen earlier in the night. When remembered, they feel, "far away," sometimes due to time dilation. Often you must go into Alpha state to remember. One way you can remember these dreams, is to set your alarm to slowly wake you after your second slow wave cycle of the night.

Most dreams that people remember, lucid and nonlucid are in the Theta state. In the Theta state, you are generally aware of both the Dream Plane and WakeWorld simultaneously if you are lucid. Theta dreams are often in your Inner World.

In my experience, while in the Deep Dream State, you are purely aware of the Dream Plane, in other words, you know you are dreaming, but you are unaware of WakeWorld. The Dream consumes you so much, you give WakeWorld no thought.

This, like everything I post is based on my personal experience. This hypothesis has no scientific studies to back it up. There is no way I can prove any of this. So, before anyone tries to argue with me, I will tell you that it's impossible. Here is why: You cannot disprove an opinion. You cannot argue with my opinions. As far as the scientific facts, such as the four brainwave states, well, fact cannot be argued with either.

All you can do is present your ideas and opinions on this topic, or scientific research on it. Please do so.

I don't know too much about this, but there are some great Theta and Delta frequency tracks on Youtube...

I think our brains are running all these frequencies at all times, we are just choosing which one is dominant at any moment.

That's an interesting idea. I have wondered such. So what do you mean by "choosing"? Who or what is doing the choosing?

Yes, I have been experiencing with isochronic tones and binaural beast.

Here are some great free tone

      Iso-Tones - Tones

Also, great post WM! I completely agree with this statement. This is why when you change levels of consciousness i.e. dream state to waking state, you should stay relaxed and reflect upon your last dream. This is extremely beneficial to remembering your dreams. When you study for a test and are drinking alcohol, it has been proven that you will do better on the test if you have consumed alcohol. I think of almost all states in terms of phase, frequency and wavelength. Human resonance is my goal.

Nomad, so if I meditate more, will it be easier to remember the delta state dreams?

All I know is if I focus my attention on slowing brainwaves down I can do it. Who's doing the choosing? Ourselves/our higher self I reckon. I haven't thought about it any deeper than that.

Not just more, but, do it when you wake up, to slow the transition. I am going to write a short tutorial on Trance Recall soon.

When you say that the dreams feel "far away", do you mean that when you remember the dream they feel as if you dreamed them over a month ago, or that they are hard to grasp in terms of recall? Once in awhile I will remember a dream that I can be almost certain that it happened weeks to months ago, just by the way it feels.

I actually have looked into this and the main things I find connected to this are binaural beats and isochronic tones, I know mostly how BB's work but ISCHR. Tones I don't exactly understand the process if you know anything about these maybe you could explain cause I have a thing that sends out isochronic tones but because I don't know the ins and outs of it I can't properly use them

just listen to whatever brainwave state you want to induce.

Thanks for sharing. Now try using only theta on repeat while you nap.

I got some Delta sync yesterday and put it in my ipod. I fell asleep prolly 10 minutes into listening . Remembered dreaming all night again. While lately i haven't been remembering anything at all. Even tho i only remember one fragment i know something was going on all night.

I used this 50 minute MP3 called "Night Drone" and it was really great to listen to. I wanna get alpha / theta brainwaves but i can't find any good ones. There are those that sound like bathtub noises. I really can't sleep to that. Do u know any files that have a nice athmosphere to it? Possibly free.

I have dreams in what you call the deep dream state. I am lucid in almost all of them. I can remember almost everything that has happened in these dreams previously as well as many memories I have recalled from past lives. These dreams are very vivid. Often as vivid as waking life. I basically live another life in another world in these dreams. I do all kinds of crazy things. Most of which I wouldn't even share. Most of my memories of these dreams I am not aware of in waking life. I can't remember all of them. Its to hard. But it doesn't matter. If I did I wold most likely go completely crazy. Its to much to handle emotionally. But many people dream like this and don't realize it. But most likely they aren't lucid. These dreams can be hard to remember. Normally you transition out of these dreams as you near waking up in the morning. You transition into less vivid dreams that are about random things. Often those dreams carry messages though because they are happening in a time where you are more likely to remember them. Often I will remember dreams I had in deep sleep throughout the day. Often I only recall brief memories of random things.

if you want to be awake whilst in a predominant delta state, just use them whilst in full lotus or cross legged position. makes much harder to fall asleep. it takes a lot of practice to use while laying down and not falling asleep, but can be done. if you fell asleep, means practice more

and as for brainwaves they are a 3d pattern, as in you have all frequencies running at once, think of an overview of a terrain with high and low points.

on brainwave studies of experienced meditators they were found to have all sets of frequencies from delta to theta to alpha to higher beta, with overall higher amplitude across the board; whereas normal people when awake only showed signs of beta/alpha when awake.

a great program for making brainwaves is mindworkstation , google that n see what you find.

also to add on what wakingnomad was saying about delta dreams, delta is also where one leaves physical body aka astral projects/travels, and is also characterised by extreme amount of emotions (aka bliss but also can be pure terror).
