      Dream RPG

Inspired by This thread, I'm going to try to make my own RPG next time I'm lucid, and continue to "play" the RPG when I get lucid after that and so on. (Like, I start as a wizard in a small town, and get better in the progress of traveling around and fighting for the good power in the world etc. etc.)

Anyway, I wonder if someone here has done something similar, and has some tips about what to do and not to do etc.

      Arch don't be disrespectful.

RPG is definitely one of the bigger things I'm aiming to do once I get better at prolonging the dreams and inducing them.

Personally WDr i can't help you, im way off the skills needed for this atm. One day though!!

Im sure there is a few RPG threads where a few people do this though. You should maybe try them out?

Well, supposedly people have had dreams for prolonged periods of time. In more extreme cases, they live years in a single dream. I'd imagine if you could dream for a "few days," you'd get a pretty good RPG out of that.

I've started a whole scripted storyline in my lucids; I've yet to take part in the next installment but I need to be pretty lucid for it to go over well. The next dream is going to have a huge scene with many different aspects that I have to be almost fully conscious to control.

I can suggest this - daydream, daydream, daydream, and incubate! Memorize the story if you can, unless you want surprises; after all, if you just go along with whatever the dream throws at you, there can be some weird results that you might not want to happen.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Hm, I agree, this is going to be one of the first things I do when I can have proper, stable lucids. You need to find a balance between keeping control and letting the dream create a story for you. An RPG is no fun if you already know where all the good weapons are and how to go through dungeons. But if you let it go itself, you may fight you end up on a car chase and then walking through the seabed- not great RPG adventure material, especially if it's totally random.

I think you should try to direct the dream by creating a story yourself, and then let your imagination flesh it out, like tell yourself you need to go through this cave to get to a boss to get a key. Then let your mind decide what's in the cave and who the boss is.
