still having the same frustrating problems, please help!

I have another problem, in my last LD this morning, I stabilized and went on to do what I was planning however randomly in the dream, my eyes closed shut, one after the other and I tried to force them open becuase I didn't want the dream to end, as it has ended like this before. When i tried forcing my dream eyes to open, my real eyes opened and the dream ended. Even though I am having more LD's, and I am actually taking time to stabilize and what not, they seem to be getting much shorter than they were when I first started, which is extremely frustrating please help anyone, thanks in advance

I know what you mean. It happens to me sometimes.
When does it happen to you? At what time?

The thing with me was that it would happen when I start to wake up (in the morning). So as I slowly wake up I become more aware but still sleeping. And it doesn't matter how hard I try, I never managed to keep the dream without waking up.
If its something similar with you I don't think you can do anything about it. Because the waking process already begun and lucid dream is just a side effect of that, not the other way around.

It has happened to me even in the beginning of WILD's before so its not a matter of my REM phase ending, there's probably something else that I keep doing, causing me to wake up and get out of my dream without me wanting it consciously. The reason I'm really pissed off is cuz my LD from before were longer, they should be getting even longer now that I know all these techniques..

Don't ever think about waking up. Just stabilize whenever you feel the dream getting unstable and you should be fine in time. 14 LD's isn't that much really, I still get super short LD's and I've had quite alot of them now. Just keep on practicing your stabilization and "getting lost in the dream" mindset, and you'll be fine eventually Good luck!

I know 14 isn't much but I still think something is wrong when my LD's end faster than they did before. I will try your getting lost in the dream mindset, and I'm going to try starting off my dreams without stabilization first and see if that helps. The main thing that ends them is my eyes closing unexpectadely.

      I don't think that's a good idea. ALWAYS stabalize.

did you read the OP?, my LD's were longer when I didn't stabilize for some reason, I know it probably is happening for a different reason which I am yet to find

It's probably because of the fact that when you stabilize, you associate it with grounding yourself to the dream and think way too much about the fact that you're actually asleep. Casually stabilize or make up excuses to trick yourself into doing it.

K I will try that, I think I am thinking about myself sleeping subconsciously because usually in the dream, right when I become lucid I focus on two things consciously, one is to stabilize and the second is what I am planning on doing and then I go for it only to find the dream ending. Also I don't understand what you mean by making excuses and tricking myself to doing it, can you give me any examples??

Are you confident that your timing is right? Maybe you are just becoming lucid at the end of your dreams. This tends to be the easiest time to become lucid.

thats actually something that I considered but that only counts for my DILDs, this thing seems to happen with my WILD'S as well but of course I'm going to keep trying until I find some way past this issue.
