      False Awakening Dream

      two nights ago I had a dream that I awoke and had a lucid dream. this was not an actual lucid dream but a fake one. this came after my first day of repeating the mantra "i'm aware that i'm dreaming".

      does anyone else have any experience with this? is this a sign of a real lucid dream to come in the future? am i wrong? was this an actual lucid dream?

      Any lucid dreaming related dreams, is progress. Might have been. If you knew you were dreaming, then it was a lucid dream. No matter how illogical your thinking was, if your memory fails you or you believe the DC's are actual people.

      Well there is no thing such a "false lucid" dream. If you weren't awere during it, it wasnt' a lucid dream. It was just a false awakening. But, it is possible to dream about lucid dreaming without actually being lucid.

      What is a fake lucid dream? If a false awakening leads you to a lucid dream, it is still a lucid dream.

      I think it is a bit vague. I've thought about and imagined dreaming whilst dreaming without being aware of it.
