Person on my bus drives me crazy

Well for the first time in months, I found someone who actually wants to learn about lucid dreaming. She happens to be on my bus.

There is another person on that bus as well. She is the buses aid. She is one of those "he shifted himself in his seat, I must now inspect him for a minute or two to see if he did something bad."

Well, I was explaining the good and bad things that come when training the mind to lucid dream. Then the bus aid and I had an argument over it.

She told me that and I quote this from the genius bus aid herself "Nichole's a nice girl, she don't need that stuff put in her head."............So having the power to go to a mental reality where you can do anything you want is bad.....

I asked her what was wrong with that and she told me that Nichole is easily disturbed. What???? Does Nichole come with a care and feeding guide saying "Dreams are bad for her."

The bus aid even said "There aint nothin wrong with it, she just dont need that stuff in her head." Why does she contradict herself?

PS: I have a bus aide becuase I am on the special bus. The bus stop is fa away and mom uses autism as an excuse for me to ride a bus that comes to my door.
Why do some people, even tho they know it is not a bad thing to LD, think that it is scary and "disturbing"?

For some, such as those who suffer from conditions like schizophrenia or paranoia related issues, a constant doubt of reality and a blurring of the lines between what is real and unreal could be severely hazardous to their health.

I think the aid believed she was probably acting in the best interests of the girl in her mind, lucid dreaming is a topic which is not well known within the wider community and can seem very radical and raise issues of concern for those such as aids, teachers, parents, etc due to it's unknown nature. This uncertainty in having not experienced it themselves is what makes it 'scary and disturbing' and if I didn't know anything about lucid dreaming and was a bus aid I think I would have acted the same way.

      That was a strange read.
The topic of lucid dreaming shouldn't be taken too seriously, it is just becoming aware in your dreams, if they don't want to be open minded and realise that it is a good thing then their loss. The only thing that I can think is scary would be HH when you try to WILD.
Why do you care what the bus aid says... do you only see this girl on the bus or something?
      Hope it works out.

I have been around many crazy people or people with something wrong and the worst thing the girl has is not knowing how to do her hair. The thing that irratates me is that the aid cant come up with anyhting to back up her argument. I said "It is no different from any other activity. It is just like a video game only in the mind." she says "Yes it is different." Then I say "How so." Then she says either "becuase it is" or "I dont wanna talk about it."

I would respect her opinion if she even had a thought out argument based on ignorance, but it is hard to respect it when it is based out of primal fear without an understanding of why.

She is only on my bus and she keeps having bad dreams of being ubducted by strangers. I of course want to help, I view it as a bad thing not to help someone out if I know how to combat something.

Maybe you could present it to the bus aid as a way for her to stop having bad dreams. Present it as a way to take control of your dreams and conquer your problems.

Must be why OP is on the bus in the first place.

I say go with what Robot_Butler said. If there's some practical application for it and it might make the girl's life easier, she might just be interested. You should maybe neglect mentioning hallucinations, sleep paralysis and downsides, and focus on dream control and becoming lucid.

She sounds like she's the type of person to be into herself lol.

You could tell her it's like Inception but only the part about knowing you're dreaming. Or just simply "it's just a dream where you know you're dreaming". The only real thing that makes lucid dreaming different is that you know what's going on.

Or you could just give up since it's obvious she doesn't know what she's talking about. Tell her to Google it if you want.
