I used to focus like crazy. Nowadays I just DJ, which is in my opinion the most important part of it. |

I've been LD'ing for about 3-4 years, but it's always been an on-off sort of thing, I've never focused on them for any more than a few months at a time (overall, about 20% of the time I'll be focusing on them). It's kind of frustrating because it feels like I haven't been making as much progress as I should, considering how long I've been doing it. So for people here, how consistent is the time you put into LD'ing - Are you doing it 100% of the time, or sort of on-off like me, or maybe a mix of both? I would be interested to hear. |

I'm definitely on/off. |

It is very important to be consistent. When you start to put in less consistent effort, your skill tends to go down really fast. As said by XeL, the most important consistent practice is the dream journal, so at least you remember your dreams, so that when you feel like practicing lucid dreaming again you already have decent dream recall. |

"A class is like a dream; it makes sense at the time and you can't remember anything when it's over." -Me
Focus like crazy since I was 5 years old of course, its paid off a lot though, I can go study in a dream anyday if I want to or do experiments or have some epic fights. |

I've been focusing on lucid dreaming for the past month, about. My number one goal relating to things other than a school, necessities, and other things like that is to have a lucid dream. |
|
I always have LD'ing on my mind..and in the day i always ask "am i dreaming" whenever I remember, I also keep a dream journal religiously ) I also always tell myself that little mantra as i go to sleep "1....I am dreaming" and so fourth ) |

It has been very off and on for me. I have had about 5 in the last 10 months. (But was only trying to LD seriously maybe 2 months out of those 10) Once I get serious about focusing on becoming lucid... I do! Then I get busy for a few months and then I realize that I haven't even remembered a dream in a while. Very sad But that's why I am here cause I am trying to make it more of a priority in my thoughts. Hopefully it works! |

If I want to have LDs (and I want LDs almost all the time ) I think about it almost all day. But I use to take a break now and then, just for the variation |
|
Still pretty new, was really into it when I first started slacking off now only came back to this site today because I had one last night lol. Holidays coming up might get back into it! |
|
I was on then I was off then I was on again then I was off now I'm on and I'm staying on because my latest lucid dream really showed me a lot |

Dreams that last for a few seconds
house more wisdom
Then those that last forever.
It is always our nightmares
that are the most vivid.
But if the vividness was taken away
would they really be so scary?
I disagree. In my own experience WILDing, I've found that after actively practicing WILD almost every day for several months, I've attained a baseline skill level that I never lose. I can literally go years without WILDing and still find it just as easy. So for me it's similar to riding a bike. |

That's awesome man. Wish I knew about it so early. |
