Does this happen to anyone during WILD attempts?

So when im attempting a wild sometimes when i think im having hypnagogia hallucinations i try to focus on them and then i end up opening my eyes and have to start the WILD process again.. For example, i thought i saw clouds, stars and like something flying kinda, so i start looking closely at them and all of a sudden i just open my eyes in real life.. that happened in a WILD attempt at night.

You don't want to focus on the hypnagogic hallucinations or HI, because you want to be as mentally and physically relaxed as possible. Focusing will either make you voluntarily tense up your eyes or make your mind too active, and so you may lose the SP or hallucinations. You were close to SP though, keep at it!

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I think it is like this. A part of you is doing the dreaming and a part of you is awake. The Hypnagogic state is in between, arguably a most beautiful state to be in.

Whatever you see/hear/feel is something you shouldn't focus on, all you should do is be passively aware of anything that is going on. When SP hits you for the first time, stay calm (which is A LOT easier said than done). I used to get the same thing your getting during WILD attempts and it was because I was trying too hard and always trying to be aware of every little thing that may have something to do with me getting close to SP. You need to be relaxed to the point where you are not worried about losing awareness, because you can always just have a DILD if the WILD fails. When I have this mindset, I will usually get a WILD or DILD, but when I worry too much on the WILD'ing part I always give up.
