Well, I have a problem. Even if I'm suspicious that I'm dreaming, I don't feel that I have enough power over my dream to even reality check. Anyone else ever had this problem? Any solutions? |

I tried last night, but when I woke up I felt the same way, and got mad at myself. 3/5 nights so far, I have had completely random and stupid dreams that should make me lucid themselves. On the bright side, these past 5 nights are the first time in years I have even remembered a dream, so i can't say I'm not getting somewhere. |

Any dream can become an LD, not just the "strange" dreams or ones that consist of obviously fake situations, like seeing an elephant in a restaurant. Your best bet is to develop a mindset that allows you to pay attention to what's around you, and to ask yourself whether you could be dreaming - in other words, awareness and maybe a bit of reasoning. For instance, you could say "I'm not dreaming", but then ask yourself "and what are the reasons for this?" A possible answer is "well, I can read that digital clock properly, and the numbers aren't changing around". |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
