Technique I've found to maintain dream lucidity

I'm new to LD as I've just recently discovered the spinning and rubbing your hands trick.

Last night I found that licking stuff in your LD really helped my clarity. Especially textured stuff like painted wood.

Has anyone else heard of this trick?

licking is an amazing one, i guess because it's triggering two senses, touch and taste rather than just the touching.

Stabilizing is all about activating dream senses and forgetting about the ones in waking life. I've once heard of a good technique that simply involves taking a bite from a tree. You can feel the texture of the tree, look at the amazing details in the leaves and branches, you can taste it, etc.
