      Post Dreaming whilst dreaming.

Hi all, it's been a while since i've been here and i'm ashamed to admit I stopped practicing Lucidity while I adjusted to the busy schedule school introduced back into my life. I am now getting back into it but I have a few questions.

This has actually happened previously but I thought nothing of it at the time, but last night I awoke from the heat but remembered NO dreams (my mind wandered as I awoke). I then thought I would try wilding (I have never done this successfully before, I have only ever reached beating heart, buzzing, fluttering eyes etc) Anyway, I reached the same stage with roaring in my ears (along with a popping sensation much like when you are descending in an airplane) only this time I saw my room materialize through my eyes. This however went away and the buzzing stopped like it usually does, my legs then began to float upwards (I was lying on my stomach). Yes, my legs physically floated all by themselves, I then woke up to my REAL room because I was dreaming about WILDING. So as you can imagine I was KICKING myself but it raises the question. Has anyone here ever fallen asleep in a dream and then become lucid?

Also, you know that buzzing sensation achieved when WILDing or attempting to WILD? Is there a name for that?

ALSO, that same buzzing sensation, I can actually induce that sensation when I am wide awake but it takes a great deal of effort and doesn't stay there by itself. Any idea why and can it be used to my advantage?

Thanks, I know it's a lot but I appreciate input.

Hi! Glad you decided to try and lucid dream again .

Anyway, that buzzing? It's actually quite common. A lot of the time when trying to WILD and people get into the stage Sleep Paralysis one of the common feelings is feeling vibrations or buzzing. It's called HH which stand for Hypnotic Hallucinations.

Anyway, the dream within the dream is also more common than you would think. It's not like Inception where their are several layers...it's all the same dream. People go to sleep in a dream without knowing they are in a dream and end up being in another dream. o_o Confusing I know.. You aren't really in a different dream, you just changed dream scenes.

Hope I answered some questions. Best of luck getting lucid

Mancon answered your first two questions, so I will try on the third one. You have found that one of HHs Mancon told you about can be reproduced while wide awake, and can it be useful? Visualization is a general term, and can in my opinion be used to describe HH effects that can be induced while fully awake. This can be colorful patterns, noises and sensations. If you practice meditation type skills, you can learn to create all sorts of effects that are like HHs.You can even learn to direct them so that effects you desire are precieved. The part of your brain that develops the dream stimuli can basically be exercised with those types of meditations. I encourge you to try and pinpoint the manner in which you were able to create the same sensation and develop it furture. You can then use similar brain exercises to get other HH effects while awake. Not only is it pretty entertaining, but it will encourage the portion of your brain that will need to develop in order to have more vivid dreams.

First couple of times when my legs lifted up by themselfs, it caught me off guard. Next time it happend, I willed my whole body to levitate and I entered an OBE/WILD. While this was happening, I saw my room through eyelids, which I now think was astral vision.

@Mancon: Ah, didn't realize the buzzing was part of HH and I fully understand, I'm still in the one dream just a different scene of it. Thank you.
@sivason: I'm going to PM you for more info, I am very much interested in doing this.
@gab: Yeah, when mine floated I thought nothing of it because I was dreaming, I'm kicking myself now for not realizing it takes effort to move legs. Next time however, I'll try to OBE, never done that.

Thanks all for your insight. This place, full of great people.

@sivason I'm also interested in meditation. Would you mind sharing your favorite meditation method? Thank you.

Never mind, just found your other post Train Your Brain for Lucid Dreams, Have More Luck With WILDs. Thanks.
